    I wonder how much Wind would cost if every wind installation faced numerous lawsuits at every stage of construction, as well as environment studies that take 5 years to complete and are litigated multiple times.

    Nuclear is expensive because people have succeeded in making it expensive.

    There isn't shit crawling around the margins.

    There isn't any bullshit where random clicking somewhere takes you to an ad page.

    The page doesn't jump up and down as it loads various ads of unknown dimensions.

    In fact, Slashdot is doing the Ads correctly.

    This is all a giant Cluster Fuck.

    It's still unclear; does the FBI want to give the phone to Apple so they can break in, or do they want apple to give them the tools to do it themselves?

    If it's the former, then Apple should get it done, then destroy the tools and cal it a day. if it's the latter, then Apple should make it clear and call them out on it.

    What is clear is that getting the data from the phone is not secondary to the Us vs Them bullshit going on now.

    Russia has untold amounts of conventional weapons left over from the cold war.

    Up until recently, their biggest cost would be for Jet fuel. Now it's just the cost of feeding their poorly paid troops.

    3. They took her there in order to see him during a difficult time for her.
    4. BCH people NEVER LET HIM SEE HER.
    5. Instead, they sent her to the Psch ward where some asshat Doctor had a program that had previously taken children away from other parents.

    To reiterate. HER Doctor, who Diagnosed her and was treating her, moved to BCH. That's why they went there.

    BTW, her doctor is a leading expert in the field of mitochondrial disease.

    If the City thinks that then they should just wall up the city and only allow X cars in a day.

    Limiting taxis, which actually reduce congestion is not about limiting cars on the road. It's about control and revenue.

    If you find land and someone willing take your payment, you can put up a tower. The Government won't come and say, "we have too many towers now, you can't put one up". As long as you are adhering to zoning codes, you are good to go.

    You may poo poo religion, but you overlook the essential role it played in aiding the ability of humans to expand communities beyond a local tribe of less than 50 individuals.

    I would suggest that even today, among normal people, the belief in an all knowing supreme being and the concept of Hell helps to maintain order in society because it provides a re-enforcement of the concept of Good and Evil.
