    The fact that over 700 amendments were still unable to fix it should tell you something. In the end, no Republicans voted for it.

    Democrats will often say, well, what's your alternative? When you are standing at the edge of a cliff and one party is contemplating jumping, you should not be discussing different ways of jumping. Perhaps just not jumping would have been the better solution.

    No one seems to remember that multiple tickets result in suspended licenses. Driving on suspended licenses results in your car being impounded. Continue and you end up in jail.

    But that's the point. It's the linguistic equivalent of relative morality. If there not a single morality, then there is no morality. If there are no fixed and unchanging rules, then there may as well be no rules. A common frame of reference is required.

    How would a physics work if the rules of physics changed at the whim of the physicist? How could programmers work if they were able to change the syntax on a whim? When they do, they call it a new language.

    If you don't follow the rules, then you can't order chicken or fish

    You may have missed it, but there's this whole thing called Fracking which pretty much upped our output to the same level as Saudi Arabia, give or take a few hundred thousand barrels.

    3. Crow about the fact that Solar out generated coal and is cost competitive.

    Solar hasn't improved. Coal has been artificially handicapped.
