    yeah, was just going to say the same thing myself, Christopher Eccleston was the relaunch of the series after it was cancelled back in the day (80's?), it was all interesting and exciting again, and at some point catch a few of the Tom Baker/John Pertwee ones too (but remember they were shot a while ago) otherwise you won't be able to join in on the "who was your favourite Dr" discussions down the pub oooooohhhhhhhh, don't forget the old movies, check this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060278/

    me too, the slim's aren't as noisy as the old ones. As for connectivity my ps3's detected everything I've thrown at it, e.g. mediatomb, tversity, also connects to iPlayer etc. No complaints there.

    harsh, I'm out of my chair. I was hoping for an answer such as "buy a Wii, they're ethical". I'm willing to give up CoD to make my own personal PS3 point.

    the PS3's a level playing field, I can't (actually I can) afford a piece of HW good enough to keep me competitive just to play CoD. I like my old/current hw, it's perfectly good enough for prn browsing needs.

    my PC's old and cheap, I justified the purchase of the PS3 as a media client. I've been pwned (is that the term? I'm old) plenty of times playing quake because my pc-hw can't display more than 10fps. 200 notes at the time seemed a wise way to have a bit of fun shooting people / level playing field etc.

    Card counting's not illegal though is it? I read (citation needed - sorry) that if you make one mistake in a hundred counting then you're not a threat anyway as that's about all the edge you get

    I was going to say DD-WRT and the ASUS 520GU too, you can buy them pre-flashed off of ebay. They've got a USB slot too so you can use it as network storage or a central print server if yeee be wanting that? (other ROMs are available to flash with: Openwrt and Tomato spring to mind)

    have a look at the Asus wl-520gu and the wl-500gp; they've got a USB socket and will run 3rd party firmware.
