    Well naturally we all want to have a fully operating linux version but that may not be around for a while, or ever, who knows. But if you have a friend with a windows box and a cd burner you could install it temporarily on his machine and burn the necessary files to the cd, then bingo you have single player. That said, this method probably doesn't work for some reason or another. :-P

    I'm in the market for a new video card and I run linux and would like to continue to do so. Now then, if nVIDIA fails to release adequate linux drivers for the GeFORCE2 then this will be no competition, Voodoo5 all the way. Either way i'll wait about 2-3 weeks after the Voodoo5 is on the shelves before i make a decision.

    And I know that "Linux isnt for gamers" but the whopping 10fps i get with my TNT2 is too damn annoying.

    Hmmm... Yet another AC who seems just a tad too ridiculous. Do we have a new form of Troll? It appaers that there is a bunch of people out there who claim to be Christian but then make outrageous comments like these. I think we have people who are flambaiters in disguise here. Either that or that religion is even worse off then i had previously thought.

    That was the only problem with the TNT/TNT2/GeFORCE series cards, no linux support!!

    BeOS was created for media editing. In simple terms it makes better use of your computer's resources for this purpose than other OS's. On my p3 600 i can stream and edit 2 full movies in full resolution with no locking up. This makes BeOS the ultimate media editing OS. If you want details go to the website.

  22. Re:Why Linux? on Jazz++ 4.0 Released! · · Score: 1

    My comment wasnt based on the thought that there should be no music programs for Linux, I was just saying that BeOS is made for media editing. Its the same as networking, you could run a network server with windows but why would you want to when you could use BSD or Linux which are better suited to handle networking situations.
