I believe Halifax was the largest accidental non-nuclear explosion.
The largest non-nuclear explosion was near Macao on December 28, 1992. 12,460 tons of TNT were used to blow up a mountain. They were clearing land for an airport.
What about Halo?
Right after Microsoft picked up Bungie, there was fear that Halo would be an XBox only game. However, about a month and a half ago it was announced that Halo would make it's way to the PC. Futhermore, it seems as though Halo is finding it's on to the Mac as well. I don't have a link to the article but just go to Voodoo Extreme and do a news search on Halo.

You could move and aim at the same time with goldeneye. You had to use two controllers, one for each hand.
One did the aiming and one did the moving.
Kind of clunky, but it was possible.
Is this the same Chris Hecker that did all the (really good) articles on rigid body dynamics?

But as I understand it, Guild Wars will not have a monthly fee. You have to pay for the game and the expansion packs.
I guess the obvious question is: how often will the expansions come out?
There is an interesting java applet that simulates zombies infecting a city of panicking people.
