    seems to indicate the very techie-ness of the web at that time, as opposed to the more everyday "address" we use today..

    we use it for the same reasons in my company (central government IT support), but considering a single fuck up can cost a minimum of £12,500 rising to £125,000. These then increase with time delays.

    Sure we are gonna check every little detail before procedding.

    guess this means we all use shit differently and have varying requiremnets...... wow, what a concept

    It ewas blindingly obvious from the day he left the party that this was a tacit agreement between him and Tony that he would do Labours bidding but they would be able to keep him at arms length the whole time and deny he had anything to do with them.

    I like Ken, always havem, and would vote for him again, but make no mistake in believing he was ever independant

    On a side note, and in total agreement with your mistrust of out current administration..

    During this years peace rally, for some reason the cameras in central london stopped workign for the duration...

    this served 2 purposes IMHO..

    1, makes it easier for the government to tell us only 500k attended (even police put it at over 1 million),

    2, no footage to support any potential claims of police aggression.

    slightly OT, but I usually keep a spare key out in public places.

    Stuck with tape to an old drainpipe, or under a sidewalk grill a coupla blocks from my house (i aint a student no more, so the dorm thing aint an issue, just the being too stoned and losing my key thing), even under somebody elses fence (outta sight of course).

    This way nobody will really work out who it belongs to (unlike keeping my key under my car wheelarch (the first place any 5 year old will check due to this being the choice of all tv morons since the 70's.......))

    Only had to use the backup twice, and only had one "go missing", but as i check it weekly or so, this aint a problem.
