Of course the harder everyone tries to get rid of Trolls, the more they will appear. That is their nature, they want to annoy and pester you until you can't stand it anymore. I believe the AMA will be recognizing it as a disease soon, and will hopefully a pill to counter act its affects by 2005. Until then, the AMA are asking that if you see a Troll, to put it out of its (and our) misery, go to any clinic and they will give you a small bat that should do the job, in a crunch, a shovel will do. (no plastic ones though) Detailed instructions accompany the bat.
The unfortunate thing is that we can't just ignore them either, they will simply try harder to get our attention.

Having said all that, 2.3.48 was the first kernel to ever have support for G400 dual heads..I'm sure they have worked out a lot of bugs since, and will continue to do so..

Corel's Linux distro is pretty much an attempt to make Linux easier for Windows users to switch over. While it isn't for a "real" Linux user, I suppose, it is a great "My First Linux," so to speak.
In what way? because it has a nice GUI? all it is is a dressed up KDE. Because it doesn't include a bunch of daemons preinstalled for you? yeah "real" linux users wouldn't be able to figure that out I guess.
I find it quite strange that "everyone" calls Corel's distro only for newbies. Corel wants to make Linux easy to use, and I think they have done that. They want to bring (more) major applications to Linux, and they are doing that (Corel Office 2000, Corel Draw is on it's way, etc)
One thing they will never be able to do is to take the power of Linux away from users. Linux is still an Open OS. If you think Corel Linux is missing something, install it, if you don't like their version of KDE, don't install it, install your own WhizzBangWM (tm).

The OSN seem to want choice (in Open Source Software [or Free Software depending on which camp you are in]), you, and people like you, want choice in commercial closed source software, or in free/open [source] software.
thats all well and good, basically you both just want choice, but the way you speak is all the same, flame people who think differently from you.[usually becuase they flamed you first]

We've spoken to the majority of game companies. When we complete a deal, we turn that into product fairly quickly. Other deal

The single most important factor for getting a game ported is market size. Everything else is easy to address. If a company feels

every distribution i've seen is either lacking something i want/need or doesn't give me enough control over how and what it installs. Slackware comes the closest to providing the kind of control i am interested in; perhaps the best plan is to build on Slackware.
slack rocks. But you have the same control if you use RH, or debian, or stampede...
With RH, to get more control during the install go to advanced mode and you'll have complete control of each and every package that gets installed. (not too sure if this is true with the newer ones...)
after RH gets installed, run rpm -qa ....if you see something you don't like, rpm -e it. You don't like what is starting up? take it out of the rc scripts.
I've never used debian, but from what I understand, it is _quite_ configureable.
As you said as well, just use the kickstart option to have complete control over the RH install.

If a distro is missing something you want, go grab the source and compile...if you are a slack user, then you must know all about this. (source code is available for other distros for slack ya know =P)

Its kinda weird that you mention a "custom kernel" in your ideal distro..for the distro you are going to need a very generic, everything-AND-the-kitchen-sink kernel so you can boot up after installing and have things work..its a real pain to try and do a network install when your network card isn't supported by the generic kernel. Once you get it installed, grab the latest kernel and compile away!

...not quite sure why you mention well-thought-out Makefiles...that is more application dependant.
I like the idea of just source on the install media, and compile away after you choose what OS you want...don't try it on a 486 though!
