You should note that a fantasy movie has never won best picture. And aslong as you are looking at that see that the big Nominations ( best actor i.e.) don't include LOTR. yes best makeup is nice but is it ocnsidered == to best actor?
just my two cents

Thats what I thought when I bought my NIC's you try backing up one comptuer to another over 10mbits. For a couple of more dollors I could have been done in half the time. IF you want to simply share an internet connection then 10 will do fine, but you never plan for the simplest solution. Drop the extra money and get 100 atleast 1 gig is better.
Have you ever been reading an article and for no reason what so ever the server grinds to a halt? Pictures don't come up, "page can not be found" errors, and then it hits you like a ton of bricks, I bet this just made Slashdot. You click the link at the top of the your browser ( you do have a Slashdot link? Don't you?) and BAM there it is? Well that just happened to me and now I can't finish the article so suck it!
Maybe your objective shouldn't be to keep growing.
Who says they are trying to grow? When a site gets to the size of slashdot it can grow on it's own. no adverts doesn't mean the site will not grow, good content is cause for the site to grow. One day some years ago I found the site thanks to a referance on another site, that is happaning more now than it happend then. Short of letting the site go to hell I don't think Taco could stop it if he wanted to.
I should have worked in some wording about the Company that made a quicktime player for Linux, Then added a link to the sixth installment of ILM magic, or somthing like that on the starwars site that has Natile portman in a really hot outfit. BTW that video is interesting.
Just b/c it's not linux compatable dosn't make it bad. Sure I would rather Have it in a Mpeg but it's still worth booting up windows or checking it out at work monday if your Linux pure at home.
I just found the Auction
on E-bay, and they are selling off the 2 battery
trays. They look like they could hold 2 or 3 batteries each, giving
it 4 to 6 total and by your math giving it 4-6 mins. Matches are 3 min
as I recall, leaving some room for rounding.
BTW check out the other
auctions, for those of us with out 25k
Hands down linux is better than MS but totally?!? unless the box is in hell, unpluged from anything and protected by lava it aint TOTALLY secure. don't ever forget that. you'll thank me later, trust me
what's with this ip? drop it in netscape and nothin, whois is blank. The reverse is nothin, google gives me nothin. Damn it, I hate jokes that I can't understand!
Do you seriously think a company would can it's line of processors if it was actually selling good? You never say no to money.
But what if they could make more cash off of the other chips? ok do this, look at the amount made off of the old chips. Then look at the amount they make off of the new chips. then subtract the cost of making a new production line from the proit from the old chips. If they are still in the black from the old chips AFTER making a new production line then it is a smart move to keep the old line. If not then it is cheeper tto dump the old chip and replace it with the newer one.
It's built into the
dashboard of your vehicle and will talk to you, tell you jokes, and monitor your responses
Just don't get distracted by it's jokes.

this is why I don't use the same password on anything I want to keep a secret. think of the fun some 11 year old will have using google to serach for a username pulled off the list and finding another comapany that the DSL client uses and loging in using the same password off of the list. say I used "slashdoter" as my DSL account name, you just plug Slashdoter into google and the second hit is my user page on slashdot. Everytime this happens the company comes out and says change your password! but then never say change ALL your passwords that relate to the creacked one.
I just can't wait for hailstorm and.net, atleast now it's a two step prosses to hack my life, al la The Net.
It has alot of information that I think will explain the problem in more depth. You are recomending the right things but in this case they did not work. Eather the cisco people are putting on a show to cover thier butts or this is a really unusual thing. My though? Someone noticed that they screwed up and waited for someone else to try something, then at that moment they fixed the real problem."Wow guys guess that fixed it". But, hey thats just me.

grab the 486 in the corner, throw in a second NIC
486's have show themselves to work well as cheap routers but one 486 acting as the single router for the entire OSDN.com network? I wouldn't bet on it. Newsforge has A little more info on what happend(i.e. the spare would not work, failed just like the primary). The problem was at Exodus, not in rob's bathroom, or attic or whereever he had the server before.
Problem is it is most likly hidden, the display is out where you can get to it but everything else is in a box in the trunk. Or if it's an all in one thing just rap it in tin foil.
do this
1. make the software valitary, people love free stuff.
2. Disclose to them your Problem with the sotware
3. MASSIVE PR move about viruses, notes on all of IS web pages, E-mail newsletter, print information
4. Antivirus software on all collage computers as standard, but alow it to be removed.
5. set in place a system to contact comptuer users
if a virus strikes the network, i.e. E-mail alert or notice on a big webpage.
6. MASSIVE PR move to change the Defult settings in IE to make it stop VBS files.
7. and finaly keep everyone updated, knowlage is not only power but motavation, if they know whats going on people can get involved.
