    actually, I remember that many USB sticks had the readonly switch, back then, with sizes like 128Mb.

    but the virus could steal that 'itan' code the moment you type it and make another transaction instead..

    i think the only good solution so far has been livecd (assuming bios is ok).
    or using seperate, locked down, firewalled, etc.. computer only for banking.

    I think the problem is that FPS and action games also have excellent gfx these days. In the past, it was major advantage of point and click adventures.

    iirc, that is not true; otheros does not allow linux to use full hardware potential of ps3.

    Incidentally, I see no point in locking down users who have physical access to the DC.

    hm, still, anyone with physical access would still probably need to reboot the server to mess with it, and that shouldn't go unnoticed.

    I tried QoS once on my home Linksys router and it was awful, it simply wouldn't work with high traffic/connections. (using original firmware)

    windows explorer? I use that thing only to start total commander setup (which, btw, has its own 'start menu', try changing the bar)

    iirc, $/TB was always better on bigger drives, so in that way 3Tb disk would be cheaper than 2Tb.

    its probably not easy to do such high speeds with that tiny, flexible cable. in any case much harder than fixed, short, lines on PCB of PCI card.

    are you joking? earth is spinning pretty fast, why not 'plant stationary platform' in it and easily make a trip around the world? because there is inertia and other things, spacecraft would need a lot of fuel and time to become 'stationary'
