Incidentally, the Koch's are typically considered libertarians, not conservatives (although more than a few libertarians consider their influence to have "tainted" the Cato Institute).
As 20-something nerd, II was the only one that really grated on me, and even so I think it would be redeemable by cutting around 1 or 2 of budding-romance scenes. I've heard the Phantom Edit is quite good, and III was enjoyable even without any chopping.
It's a continuum and it depends on the parties involved. I've collaborated on undergraduate research with my father (paper ended up being accepted to ISVD a couple years ago), and the work I did with him at 18/19 was definitely not beyond my abilities at 15, and was probably more creative and challenging than the work I did this summer on a DOE fellowship.
Sure, but the theory is based on natural rights philosophy (independent of government meddling) and is a prescriptive theory of how legal systems should operate, rather than descriptive theory of how they do operate.
Don't have to make it a gold standard. Just abolish legal tender laws and let the market sort it.
Or wait for Google ("Planetary Resources") to dump one of those shiny new asteroids full of platinum and gold a few years down the line.
Presumably the reduced overhead of UDP was considered by the developers to be a worthwhile tradeoff against the convenience and stronger guarantees afforded by TCP.
Get my real time strategic sports viewing kicks from watching professional Starcraft now, knowing that the worst injuries being inflicted on the players is maybe a case of CTS, and only if they aren't careful about posture.
One problem, and the great attraction of this way of doing things, is that most software companies don't have too many programmers worth $120k. Lots of $50k-$80k, but not so much on the higher end of the pay scale until you get into research divisions at big companies like Microsoft or Google or IBM.
I might actually use it again if I can use it with Adblock Plus.
Hang out with computer science or math people for a while. It'll blow your mind. A culture that produced RMS would have to ;)
and what field are you in? Sharing culture varies radically depending on discipline.
Most Austrian economists get really worked up about the evils of central banks for a reason.
MSNBC ;)
they're following a similar roadmap to Planetary Resources, but skipping the harvest-volatiles phase?

Perpetual kittens, for every citizen. You'll probably crash their site.
WRT54G is not WRT54GL.

Say what? Han Solo is Correllian.
That depends on the university and the lab. I've heard all sorts of horror stories.

You're confusing homestead grants with the Homesteading Theory of Property Rights.

Probably didn't take that much work either, since most of the hard stuff is being done server-side with D3.

Any Mac user worth the name should be proud to have NeXT hardware.

Look guys, I found another one. I'm pretty sure the 501st aren't even connected to Disney.

Fink is like Mac Ports but less well-maintained. I'm not really sure what the point of Homebrew is.
This might kick the crap out of your browser: but sure.
Wish I had modpoints. The -1 on this comment is a sign of some serious denialism on today's batch of mods.
