If only we had this machine that could take paper and...let's see, what's the word I'm looking for... ah, yes, scan that paper and convert it to a format that can be easily stored on a computer and even converted into searchable data. Now of course they would also need to make this scanning machine small and cheap enough that multiple people could have their own machine, making the process a lot quicker than a single person sitting there scanning each hard copy. Someone really should invent this, it would make life a lot easier.

I didn't even buy my wife a diamond for her engagement ring. We decided on a white sapphire that was a third of the price of a comparable diamond (which was nice because at the time I was making half of what I make now) and literally no one outside our immediate family (and even some of them) have no idea that it is not a diamond. This coup also had the side effect of allowing Erdogan to purge a lot of the top military brass and replace them with officers more loyal to him. This is important as the Turkish military had traditionally played the role of maintaining Turkey's secular status by undertaking coups. He has pretty much assured that there will be no military intervention any time soon in domestic politics.

Correction, 2 problems: you forgot Iraq. Any independent Kurdistan would take a large chunk of land(with a lot of oil) from Iraq. Iraq doesn't want to give up control of that area and would firmly resist any policy that could cause it. If the US supported a Kurdistan then Iraq would very quickly turn to others(namely Russia, but possibly China) for support. It's sad too, as the Peshmerga have made strong gains against Daesh in Iraq and are one of the more effective groups fighting in Syria.

In regards to Turkey, it is important to note that they have already begun moving troops to the Iraq border and made some very troubling comments regarding the fighting near Tal Afar, namely that they would retaliate if any ethnic Turk citizens are mistreated during the fighting. Things could quite possibly get even more complicated in the Levant than they are now.

  14. Given all the things that Erdogan has done in the wake of the 'coup', it makes me wonder whether it was actually a coup attempt, or just Erdogan's version of the Reichstag fire.

A couple thousand troops (most of whom had no idea what was going on at all anyway) mobilized only in the capital, halfhearted attempts to take over local media outlets but no attempt to take over media outlets or military bases in other parts of Turkey, and most of the "leaders"of the coup miraculously killed riding in the same helicopter and you couldn't realize the coup was staged until Erdogan started arresting hundreds of generals and admirals (gee, you'd think with this many high ranking officers involved that the coup would have been more widespread, huh?), thousands of soldiers, teachers, and school administrators; declared an opposition figure living in exile in the US as Turkey's Osama bin Laden; starting rounding up political opponents; and lastly cutting off social media(well, this one I can support at any rate)?

The easiest way is probably to devise a specific plan for how to execute Brexit, and then have another referendum. If they choose a soft Brexit then the voters will know immigration policy and EU regulation enforcement will be left unchanged, and voters who cared about that will probably not vote for Brexit. If they choose a hard Brexit then those who don't want to leave the single market will probably not vote for Brexit.

The UK doesn't get to decide how hard or soft Brexit will be, the EU does. And the EU has already stated in no uncertain terms that they will not discuss terms of Brexit until the UK invokes Artilce 50. A lot of people in the UK got sold a bill of goods over Brexit, and it's going to hurt when the EU comes to collect.

Then why wait a week before the election? If it's something big enough to get her arrested immediately they should release it now. Anything else would take too long through the system that she couldn't even be charged until after the election, just due to investigation necessary given the source and circumstances of the release.

Interesting though, the Clinton's have transferred over 2 million dollars from their accounts in the USA, to Dubai. Are they planning some sort of escape in the near future, to a country that will not extradite them to the USA? Why transfer all of your assets to another country?

I'd say $2 million hardly counts as all of their assets.

She has to know, if she loses, Trump, even though I still have it in the back of my mind he only got into this election to help Hillary, by taking all of the spotlight off of other candidates, may of had a "come to Jesus meeting" and got his mind right with God...I hope so!

If Trump does get elected he will run headfirst into the brick wall of reality and the US will have it's own Brexit scenario. My guess is most of his supporters would sour to him quickly and he would certainly not get a second term.

  21. I don't know about that. If they had gone further earlier, we might have a different Democratic nominee. If she were to drop out of the race now, Trump might be up against a write-in Democratic candidate.

That would doom the Democrats to failure. If anything they would force her to resign after the election leaving Kaine as the President-elect. TO alter the ballot now would be electoral suicide.

If these things don't exist then the company has a problem anyway, as there should be already under. If you have reasonable compensation policies and your people still push back on coming in then it either happens way too often or they have a way too inflated sense of worth and will probably be jumping ship from you soon anyway.

If there is an emergency outside normal working hours you bring in your staff and pay them the appropriate amount of overtime. Now, if calling people in outside working hours is a regular occurrence for a company then that company needs to look into shifts, either as regular working hours or rotating on call shifts with appropriate compensation when you are on call.
