  1. Play Profiles on ' Naughty Bits' Decision Not So Nice · · Score: 1

    Two thoughts:

If there really is money in these alternate versions, why aren't they created as a matter of course?

Why not extend DVD players, DVRs, etc with "play profiles". The PG13 version of a porno would be short but the PG and G versions would be even shorter...

If scenes were rated, then it would be a simple matter for DVD player to skip to the next appropriate scene, no? Parental controls are a good thing.

I'd love to see a study examining industries where companies and/or products are marginalized by technical advances. I suspect that headlines announcing that study might read: "Companies with Antiquated Business Models More Likely to Lie, Distort"

It is odd that companies think they have a right to profits just because what they did before was profitable. It is bad for the general public when they can get politicians to agree.

For the record, I leave my network open intentionally in case someone on a boat or in the park across the street can make use of it.

Have you looked an a honda insight? It looks strange and is horridly over priced considering it's functionality. great gas milage, but as a family car it falls short of even the accord or camry.
I looked at both the Prius and the Insight but I settled on the Honda Civic Hybred instead. The only downside I've found is that the back seats don't push forward to enlarge the trunk. Apparently the batteries are inside them.

IANAL. The linux kernel is licensed under the GPL with one additional caveat- that applications using it don't have to be GPL'd. While he might not be pleased about this exception, the kernel is GPL. I believe that RMS using linux is consistent with his views.

I can appreciate RMS' position and am happy that he has the right to communicate his beliefs. Some political movements annoy me no end as well but I do not attack them for trying to communicate their messages- I attack the messages they communicate.
