Take it a step at a time, our interests in gaming didn't appear overnight. Start with board/card games like Settlers of Catan or Munchkin. Play those with mutual friends, it may help build up her interest. Settlers of Catan is only a step away from Civilization games. If she has any friends that play Magic the Gathering, that can be a good start too, and the artwork may draw her in, or the collecting. Use these to bring out her interest, then try straightforward, shorter, but good games, like Portal. But don't just recommend your favorite games, ask what she's interested in. If she isn't sure, slowly try out a genre at a time. Avoid first person shooters at all cost unless you are positive she's interested in them.
There are stories about botnets all the time, but I usually don't see anything about how to remove them. I'm pretty confident in my browsing habits, but the same can't be said for my relatives. What's the easiest way to check a machine for infestation? Do standard virus scanners handle it, or programs like Malewarebytes?
So people keep saying press F5 to see the unsorted order, and I went to try it (after allowing javascript), and when I refreshed I got:
Google Chrome image - Google Chrome
Firefox image - Safari
Firefox image - Firefox
IE - IE
Opera - Opera
and after about a 2-3 second pause, staring at that, the first Firefox image changed to the correct Safari one
Definitely don't read it if you actually plan to like any of the characters. Anyone you actually like will either be killed or ignored for several books. The plot is fairly obvious if you think about it, but it's largely ignored.
Almost all of the books are from the point of view of characters you don't care about, and the 'believably evil' characters are mostly annoying, especially when entire chunks of the book are dedicated to them, and then they somehow magically redeem themselves.
However, if you do care about what kind of dresses Sansa is wearing, or how her last cup of tea was, there's plenty of that.
If NoScript screws with AdBlock any more, I'm just deleting it, AdBlock is the more valuable of the addons to me. I definitely don't like a developer screwing with someone else's addon, and then when it can't be deleted claims it's a "bug". No way it's a bug, just an undocumented feature.
No, but it looks like quite an interesting language, using RPN. I always have my calculators set to RPN. Definitely going to mess around with it, looks fun.

The Drupal Logo is formed from the tears of unsuspecting developers forced to use it.
The Drupal logo is made of the tears of those forced to develop sites with it.
That you watch too much anime?
Anything google makes will be better than that crappy program.
but it's the only way to be sure!
That was only 10, you ripped him off.
That's what I thought of too.

But wasn't Diablo 3 announced first? Where is that beta?

Couldn't agree with you more. Sadly they don't, so PC for me.
He was referring to the processors and graphics cards with that statement, way to twist what he said.
This just keeps getting worse and worse...surely there must be something we can do to end this. (not a comcast user)
Being forced to play WoW as a job? How could that ever be considered a dream job. Sure it's not a bad game, but it gets old after a while.
Looks like no more NVIDIA for me, time to research what ATI has available. I like my AMD chips.
So does this mean that Mosaic is the most efficient one out there?

Did anyone else see "Ancient Books Go..." and think they'd discovered some ancient Go books?
How else will we keep the trend from the first story going?
