About 1 in 100 people in the crowd has a concealed weapon
List of mass shootings, just for the 2010s, just schools... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_school_shootings_in_the_United_States#2010s. Solution is not that simple, and this is not because you want to carry a gun that you have to let a whole population, that includes a lot of irresponsible people, use a gun as well. What happened in France is exceptional, and you seize the opportunity of an exceptional event to promote your own ideas. This is typically what do extreme parties (esp. right side), and what did parties before WWII. They catch an exceptional event to sell their own narrow minded stinky politcs.
No, it was actually a special coating Apple would put on top of the glossy screen. It proved to be a very bad idea! This is why they stopped doing that...
Don't underestimate the impact of the 2-weeks-ago-yet-fresh-massacre though. So, this time the protests are suppressed, and in a year from now they will be authorized again. Do you really think France, and especially the French, would accept a "state of emergency" lasting years? No. Moreover there are presidential elections in less than two years, and the party abusing the current situation more than necessary would be decimated by the voters. The French are really attached to freedom.
I thought about that, and agree Apple is usually taking (right) decisions on our behalf, but if you consider the number of posts from not glossy-satisfied people... spending [more] money on anti-glare stuff like that. Maybe they just couldn't reach the "retina" rendering without a glossy screen?
Not offtopic! From the quote "Samsung and LG, which have both already integrated OLED technology", it appears, once again, Apple is late to the party. Leader they were, now they try to catch up. True for OLED. True for matte screens.
The switch follows the steps of other smartphone makers such as Samsung and LG, which have both already integrated OLED technology in their mobile device ranges
Plus, Apple, in 2015, is still not able to provide Macbooks with matte screens. Working while watching a mirror for hours is an eye killer..
Show Alan Turing how his own work and discoveries, indirectly widely used today, are of major importance. And also, maybe ask him what he thinks about the "posthumous pardon" he was granted from the queen, only 61 years after his death...
Stack overflow.

Me. Because I'd like to do some iOS dev for fun, and there is no alternative ... you need a Mac for that.
Is it supposed to be funny? Or is it just plain dumb?

Hmmm http://askubuntu.com/questions/187022/how-can-i-send-a-custom-desktop-notification ... http://askubuntu.com/questions/110969/notify-send-ignores-timeout
To customize a few stuff like notifs time
Also some applications, eg skype, allow to enter a script path in the settings, triggered each time a notification is sent.
'sudo' is your prompt?
Took me some time, but eventually could get used to Unity. Usable now, less bugs and quite convenient - again give it time to get used to it.
would be an interesting showdown!
You have a typo in your last line.
They're an anachronistic middle man.
Yeah the famous man in the middle attack, we should really do something about that!
They're an anachronistic middle man.
Not so much anachronistic, unfortunately.
At least you don't have to prepare anything, as long as you attend the diner.
The comments make a story. And I bet this page will have tons of comments..
So, Leonardo da Vinci? Why not, as long as he doesn't mind switching from Italian to either English or French.

Me, not so much.
With a bit of luck, you'll lose some of your applications, settings and associated data from this bullshit
Thank you for your kind wishes. I mostly use Linux though, and occasionally a Mac...
