What is informative, that he is a Black man, or that he wrote Bash? I'm happy to know that Brian Fox is the author of bash, a nice addition to sh that I'm using every day, but why the need to specify he is a Black man? Is it an American thing?

It's pretty good, and reminds me of the Daredevil comic books I read 30 years ago. Nostalgia. The story and characters depth and development is not Breaking Bad or The Shield grade, though. Entertaining, still, but they use (well, must agree) a lot of the known recipes to make something watchable nowadays. In other terms, the show is a good marketable product, not a piece of art.

But the problem is the user application, at least for flightradar24. Have the paid version on iOS and it shows sometimes inconsistent data, or clearly not updated areas (while WIFI is ON and fast). If there is one tangible argument to show that the app is not well written: when the app is updating the screen (takes about .5~1 second for a busy area) the user cannot move (drag) the map (user should have priority as (s)he doesn't care about the display since it's gonna change in 2 seconds after moving!).

Volcanoes release quite a bit of sulfur(oxides) which contribute quite a bit to acidification. Why is this not mentioned?

Because acidification happens faster and faster, while there is no special volcanic activity. In other terms, the reason of this accelerated acidification does not come from volcanoes.

When they start to reduce the process of interviewing down to a standardized series of questions and tests, they remove the human from the process too.

When Google was still human sized, they could trust and rely on HR people they knew personally. Now that Google grew exponentially it's much harder to trust the many HR consultants that may hire some unfit candidates. So maybe in that case, tests and quizzes are the best option?

Why is it so important to think on your feet for a software development position? You need to be able to think *at your desk*.

Because Google is probably not that hiring-retarded, and they know that whatever the age, bright and open minded people are actually pretty rare. So, when a 50+ bright person comes, they may adjust the job description and offer him/her something instead of letting him/her go. Maybe something more managerial.

I know well the Tohoku earthquake, being there at the time... Nope, not talking about this one. Just after the 11/3/11 earthquake, a lot of information came from embassies, about Fukushima and about the odds of a big one in Tokyo (the 11/3/11 one was big, but the epicenter was far from Tokyo - Tokyo was "shindo" ~5.5, Sendai, much closer to the epicenter, was shindo 7 (the max)). That "experts" information said a big one is likely to happen within 3 days(!) after the Tohoku EQ. Then a week later, the same people said it's very likely to happen within a year etc... More recently, that big EQ is very likely to happen by March 2015. If you combine all probabilities, and go back to 11/3/11, you get something like a 99+% certainty of a big one in Tokyo by March 2015. Ridiculous.
