Back home in India,millions of kids walk/cycle daily to school - maneuvering thru traffic, crossing roads and some walk as much as 5 miles to school. Few even more.
Me and brother used to walk 2miles since I was in first grade.
Now that we have our children in US, this seems rediculous that kids need to be dropped mere 3 blocks away.
I would rather design those robotic legs give support from the sides and not from between the legs.
With current design walking and standing doesn't look that comfortable.
I'm sure antenna engineers must have suggested something practical, but Jobs demanded that it be pretty and shiny. Probably engineers got fired because they were right!

Most of the developing nations don't have infrastructure for descent wired connectivity. Satellite/Mobile is quick and cheap way out.
