It would be nice if some of these distributions that are basically identical would merge together. Linux would likely be less confusing to Windows users if they didn't look and see 50 different versions of it.
Being UTC+10 means that I read this story and get excited about watching the leap second, only to discover it happened last night.
I guess because I didn't notice means that I was ready.
One thing which you cannot do with the official NVIDIA driver for GNU/Linux is have mixed rotation monitors. (I would like to be proven wrong - have even tried to prove myself wrong, but given up).
I currently have one monitor in portrait and one monitor in landscape and one monitor in landscape, with the ability to drag windows from one to the other. I have some acceleration, which allows me to see through terminal windows.
Nouveau works, official one does not work. Simple choice.
Offtopic: Why is there no way to 'fix' moderations. I have several times modded someone 'offtopic' or 'overrated' when I meant to put 'insightful', 'funny' or 'interesting. I then have to post and I then cannot moderate an article as I cannot delete a comment.
Apple has made it increasingly hard to charge one of their devices without an Apple charger (see http://www.ladyada.net/make/mintyboost/icharge.html).
Once they get a hold of this it will mean that all iDevices will only chage with authenticated Apple chargers.
As mentioned, you divide by 0, since step 5 "Remove cancelling values (a - b)" means "Divide both sides by (a - b)"
a = b therefore a-b = 0
The step now becomes "Divide both sides by 0"
I could post equivalent hardware to the latest Mac that had a slightly slower SSD but better processor, RAM, and screen, for half the price
Curious as to what that is?
Has poor support for Ext filesystems. They are just "catching up".
So wish I had mod points to vote up.
...and at the same time as the rest of the world. Social media is big enough that a delay is really noticeable.
Note: Please don't talk about the Hobbit film. It releases for us on the 26th December 2012. (thankfully not in December 2013)

Could http://xkcd.com/927/ apply to this as well?
*groan*
How stupid of me.
The occasion that I comment about missing something due to being several hours ahead is one of the few occasions where it does not matter.

Accedently modded down, ment to mod up.

+1. Also, with a DD-WRT (or Openwrt) you can easily* enable internet access only on Sunday. * In DD-WRT, it is under "Access Restrictions" => "Days"
Just realised I posted AC.
I am a Christian as well, and although the Bible should not be burned, it is his copy to do as he likes with it.
The reaction that I have towards what he has done, so it pray for him

It seems like they just want uniquely identify the computer (ie. for networks behind nat) plus version info. Is this not http://ubuntucounter.geekosophical.net/ and http://counter.li.org/ doing the same thing?
Just added it now to my adblock white-list.
Tell me when it actually gets into stores. A few years ago the news came out about sliver cells. (site: http://www.originenergy.com.au/1257/Photos-of-SLIVER-modules)(story transcript: http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/s1865651.htm) They are bendable and even transparent, with a similar efficiency of traditional cells. (http://www.originenergy.com.au/1234/About-SLIVER - down near the bottom of the page). Could someone please tell me where to buy a sliver cell?
[My english is better than most other people's german, so please point out mistakes politely. Thank you.]
I just wanted to politely point out that
easyer
is spelt "easier" (Definition: more easy)
