  1. Response to Trailer Comment on Colleague Comes Forward To Defend Anthrax Suspect · · Score: 1

Actually, that article only looks at only eight out of ten hand picked occupations.. Further in the article, "When you look at the actual duties, you see that very few federal jobs align with those in the private sector," she says. She says federal employees are paid an average of 26% less than non-federal workers doing comparable work."

Government jobs not only have poor pay in comparison to industry, they can kill you too!

  3. Video-Console Services on Rumors of Hulu's Subscription Plans · · Score: 1

I think Hulu as well as other video services are hurting themselves by not getting involved in the console market. I imagine Netflix although requiring a disc is doing well by joining the WII. In a world with increasingly multi-faceted use machines, I'm starting to think consoles may need to take a stronger route of video/show streaming.

  4. Tutorial Mini-Game on Ubisoft Says No More Game Manuals · · Score: 1

What's better than reading an online PDF or HTML text file of a bunch of commands for those who dislike repetitive reading? Playing an online mini-game, which simulates the game experience in a no punishment atmosphere is better. Why read about something when you can do it? Besides, I haven't read a game manual since, well the NES days. I could imagine more online tutorial mini-games being made fairly easily.

  5. Black Guy Still Gets Box Pay? on Microsoft Poland Photoshops Black Guy To White One · · Score: 1

I'm wondering whether the black guy still gets his pay for being on the Polish box. Sure, his face isn't on the box. However, his chest and his hand are. I would hope, he would still get at least 75% of box model revenue. The face is a relatively small part of the entire human anatomy. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Imagine some crazy world where deceased bodies are disposed of, and cemetery records are kept entirely online. It could happen, if the world becomes too overpopulated.

  7. In economic terms, we are investing in the future. on Obama Says 3% of GDP Should Fund Science Research And Development · · Score: 1

I am for this funding. Technology is driving the future. If Americans plan on keeping up, we need to utilize much to maintain an active role. It comes down to a basic economic concept, capital versus consumption goods. If we plan for the future investing in capital goods, we will have more consumption goods in the future. If we spend most of our GDP on consumption goods, we will sacrifice future gains in consumption.

  8. Large expense means less customers share bandwidth on Cablevision To Offer 101 Mbps Down, No Caps · · Score: 1

$100 is a large expense. I think this will keep the number of total users down. In turn, this may allow the people who purchase this service to maintain these 101 mbps download rates. The less bandwidth eaten from others the better for individual users.
