Embedded does not mean that there is no user, rather it just means that the software is part of a device. That device could be a cable box, a PVR, a radar dislay/interface system in an aircraft, the music browsing interface on your digital music player, or any of dozens of other devices. All of these are embedded systems.

Something that was rectangular and fit nicely underneath the Mini would be better, I think. That Belkin one would use full-length cables (probably 3-5 feet) and would be a pain for cable management. It and the bundle of cables would end up on the floor entangled with all the other cables. That's as long as you can switch computers with a hotkey.

It's just not good to waste things or deliberately break things just because they're not yours or belong to someone you don't think you care about.

A Mac Mini would fit perfectly on top of my PC tower. If I had a KVM that would fit underneath with short USB and DVI cables to the Mac Mini and longer cables to my PC and monitor/keyboard/mouse, I'd be set. The ordinary DVI KVM's are rather clunky. At a young age, that is definately the case. However, as you get older, you learn that true faith can ONLY be attained through introspection, examination of the world, and serious, real doubt. Any religion that doesn't absolutely want you to doubt its validity, truth, and teachings is a cult, in my opinion.

They never do anything overtly sexual. The wankers who use the site might as well be looking at the JC Penny advertisement in the Sunday newspaper. The girls are undoubtedly being exploited, but it's by their parents who sold their pictures that probably got resold to these sites. It's basically just stupid.

I have much more opposition to these sites than to x-rated comics involving children. For these sites, there are actual children involved. In comics, it's just ink on paper and some weirdo's fantasy.

Those pics were undoubtedly the more "normal" pictures, i.e., just the girl by herself in public. The more graphic pictures would not have been modified since they would not have shown as much of the identifiable background scenery.

  14. So true... on DC Could Ban 'Mature' Video Game Sales to Minors · · Score: 1

Young people can get a distorted view of sex from porn. They might think that it is normal in everyday sex for the guy to pull out and shoot his load on the girl's face. They might also think that 3-way or 4-way sex is common, or that cable repairmen, plumbers, mailmen, and pool cleaners often have sex with bored housewives with big breasts who sun themselves by the pool naked. Anyway, the fact that porn production values have dropped so much in the past 20 years doesn't help things. Modern porn looks less like escapist fantasy and more like "Reality TV". At least video games look more like fantasy.

He's not talking about "Native Americans", the people descended from the bloodthirsty savages who roamed these lands and fought battles against settlers where they killed men, women, and children indiscriminately. He's talking about people from India, the south Asian subcontinent, home to more than 1 billion people. India was home to Ghandi, the famous "passive resistance" leader who, after having been trained as a lawyer in England. helped win independence for India from Britain. Now, among other things, India is an emerging nuclear power involved in a long-standing dispute over the territory of Kasmir with neighboring Pakistan. English is a primary language of India due to its long history as a British colony. This fact combined with inexpensive communications technologies and lower wage prices in India has allowed U.S. companies to save money by hiring Indian companies or contractors to do things like customer service, tech support, and engineering. Some Americans, notably ones who lose their jobs to overseas "outsourcing", object to this practice. Often, however, they do not blame the Indians, who are merely being opportunistic, but rather they blame the American companies who do the outsourcing for being unfair to their own people.

There's no fighting in Kiki's Delivery Service. There is drama and tension and the heroine overcomes some obstacles, but there is no fighting.

In Angelic Layer, the fighting is more like sport fighting than actual fighting. The fighting is between robot dolls controlled by the girls to determine who is a better robot controller. Much of the details in the fights are about how differences in size of opponents influence optimal fighting tactics.

In Magic Knights Rayearth, the girls are transported to a alternate universe, given magical powers, and asked to rescue a princess or something. So they are doing something somewhat noble. The ending has a strange twist if I recall correctly.

Fighting isn't a bad thing, by the way. Fighting to defend your life or your family from someone who doesn't believe in pacifism is never wrong. And fighting in entertainment is just for fun, so don't take it so seriously.
