The good news is the driver should be alerted to this problem by a instrument cluster warning light. If the light comes on, drivers should then turn the truck off, and then turn the key back into the on/run position to verify that the light is no longer on.

I've seen that scam here in Canada 2, first my uncle got the call and fell for it hook line and sinker, a couple weeks later my cousin got the call but was smart enough to call me on another line before letting them do anything.

I saw it on 2 different PCs one wireless and one wired, fixed it by removing and reinstalling the NIC
