    Example: Arrays are both simple array and associative arrays. Indices are number, in some occasions they are renumbered from 0, and sometimes not. That is the sort of thing that could defeat the best programmer.

    Yet, there are very good reasons... - JavaScript is improving, making Dart-JS useless. The best part of Dart are only supported by Chrome. - TypeScript compile JS to any browser not just Chrome. Angular working only on Chrome would become irrelevant.

    I have an intel NUC i5 and with an SSD+HD, 8 GB memory, Windows 7, it is a perfect and very fast computer for the desktop.

    I would said the main difference is scripting languages run at command line while desktop app languages use a GUI. JavaScript is now used on the desktop with a GUI, so it is now also a desktop application language.

    Since the Rust and Swift language have been created, it seems than C++ is not the solution for anyone. The question is, why not use D rather than create a new language?

    Virtually any programming language is compiled to .NET. So this is not a big advantage from the JVM!

    I do not know how you value Tiobe, but according to its stats, in May 2012 the part of C# was 6.823% and in December 2014 it is 4.328%.

    JavaScript and Webkit are different things, you should compare SpiderMonkey and V8. Chrome started in 2008 to improve JS speed in V8 and the competition then started.

    I am afraid you know nothing about database. NoSQL (http://www.scriptol.com/programming/nosql.php) **is** SQL, that is just the way data is stored that is different. And even if the article focuses on Riak, it seems to be just a part of the new system.

    To be fair, Andy Rubin left Danger in 2003 to found Android, but Microsoft bought Danger in 2008. Most of the staff left Microsoft in 2009.
