If aliens show up physically, our only sane posture is one of extreme respect. They don't need to have advanced weapons, they've got the asteroid belt and we're sitting at the bottom of a gravity well thst we can barely get out of.
Ceres for breakfast, anyone?
Good riddance. I switched from AvantGo years ago to Plucker on the Palm, fed by Sunrise XP. The combination is a bit harder to set up initially but you're no longer limited to the feeds that AvantGo offers.
I'd like to see something that forbids manufacturers from pushing updates that remove or limit features. Apple bricking unlocked iPhones with an update, Creative removing record features in the Zen, etc.
When I buy a gadget, I'm exchanging money for a set of features. Manufacturers shouldn't be able to alter the deal after the fact to my detriment, especially since they don't offer compensation for what they remove.
Similarly, I'd love to see addressed Verizon's reaming of its customers by locking their phones' features. Verizon advertises phones with lots of features but locks up the functionality so they can make a few cents. You pay for it, you own it - but you can't use it.
or any other optional holiday time that everyone takes. The office is completely empty, you can think for hours at a time without background noise. (Of course, ever since the family came along this is no longer an option for me, either.)
Oh, sure, get your excuses ready for not having the 'nads to play Fear 3... "Umm, no thanks, I've already played twice..."
Perhaps he's contributing 2% of the speed of light, c.

Man, I hate it when that happens...
Given all the stories of successful hacks into gov't systems, why did we need this again? Seems like people were getting to the data just fine before.

What we need now to relieve the tedium of watching computer chess matches is a spectator program...
I have the same opinion of Sony Pictures...
