And no, zero-based arrays are no excuse for now starting every numbering sequence with a zero. The word "first" is the ordinal form of the number one, not zero. By definition then, "The First Version" is version 1.

Just because your language does things this way doesn't mean that it's a law of nature. The word "first" is not magically linked with "one", it's an adjective meaning that "there are 0 above it", it's only put with one rather than zero because that's the way our language handles things.

If a paid MS shill knew that Linux's equivalent to "runas" is "sudo", why would he mention this at all? Most people, even on Slashdot, either don't know what either of them are and would think that the shill is speaking the truth, or don't know what 'sudo' is (same result) or don't know what 'runas' is, and of course the shill himself won't say what it is, so it would register in their head as "Windows has an important feature that Linux doesn't", which gives roughly the same effect. So maybe only the 0.01% of the population (maybe 1% here) that has a high level of experience with both Windows and Linux would be able to call out the troll, at wich point you just change your username or create a new account and start all over.

Note: I have no such experience with Windows so I may be wrong in my statement that "runas" is a Windows feature and not from BSD or Unix or wherever.

If you're an internet newbie and you google "Rosetta Stone" and the first link is "Download Rosetta Stone cheap, only $6.95" but the second link is legitimate, you would most likely hit the first link - it's cheaper, it's right up there on Google and it's in the sponsored links, so it has to be reputable, and you have now become an unwitting customer to commercial software pirates.

Please stop saying "based on new IP".
