In that case, simply edit your hosts file and add your own entry for project123.ibm.com. Your first DNS server is your computer... unless you've changed the default host.conf
Not sure about your comment about Win2K, maybe you weren't working within an enterprise at that time but I remember it being much better than Win982E and WinXP. Win2K Server was very good also (apart of having a GUI on a server). Actually, it was the last version of Windows I touched for more than 15 minutes before inserting a LiveCD/USB.
Right, like people are going to know/care the kernel version their smartphone is using. Come on! I've been working and developing software for/on Linux for 15 years and I don't know the version of the kernel I'm running. Hell, I didn't even know kernel versions had names.
Google being down? Not so much pal. GitHub or BitBucket being down I fear. StackOverflow being down I fear. AWS or Heroku being down are my worst nightmares.
And heat. I don't know if this has been studied but I really believe that the heat produced by engines and exhaust gases from cars do have some direct consequence with cities being hotter than rural areas. Of course there are more causes to this, but analog cars might be another one.
I remember when MS launched Win95 people were very attached to how Win3.11 worked, so many were pissed back then, but you didn't have any feasible alternative at the moment. Today things have changed and you've got plenty of alternatives: Win7, WinXP, MacOS, Linux, etc. You've also got smartphones and tablets which for many are more than enough for them.
OTOH, last month I've got a Lenovo laptop which came with Win7 preinstalled and Win8 disks to install it. If it was the other way around maybe Win8 adoption rate would be higher.
Yep, I've trying inoreader for a few days and it fits very well with the way I used Google Reader. Their mobile site is what I wanted, although a little slow.
I think that after... 6 years? I'll be switching from Google Reader. No need to have my Gmail account on any more.
Ok so this will likely lead to robot vs robot warfare with no real human casualties... So, I say we put that shit on TV and enjoy:)/joke
Why the joke? In WWII people bought war bonds. In WWIII you'll crowdfund armies and those who contribute more will get the chance to lead them into battle. Those who contribute a smaller fee will get full access to the robot statistics on real time!
Wow, I gotta go get my lawyer and patent this shit.
instead of supplying terrorists with cheap AK-47s.
There you have it, the "cheapest robot possible" TM. Simply program someone to think that their way of life, freedom, lands, traditions, religion is being threatened by something else (the broader and more abstract the better) and you have a pretty cheap killing machine which doesn't need any nuclear power plant to move around but an AK47, some bullets and some rice.
Now all Photoshop/Fireworks users can whine all they can but they probably had the greatest opportunity to overcome this if they helped/funded projects like The Gimp and Inkscape instead of crap over them as they've been doing for the past 10 years. Now f*** you and pay for the pleasure of being buttfu***d every month.
But you still can overturn this and instead of agreeing to this non-sense (a design app over the wire, come on!) contribute those $240 you'll be spending on a year subscription to those OSS projects. I can imagine that if The Gimp contributors had $100.000 they would probably add proper CMYK support and other stuff that might make the transition easier.
Nothing less, nothing more. First of its kind I guess, maybe that's why the name got lost in translation.
It seems you're a little constrained down there, do you need any help with that?
Everything is better with bluetooth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61a0qHFcQE4
In NSA America world's largest virus discovers YOU!
Good point, arms DRM! Man, the NRA should be lobbying for this HARD!
Or worst yet, what happens on a 5% charged battery? Some cheap electronic components misbehave on low charges.
You seem to have left Europe out of it. Little fact, Switzerland and Finland have close or higher rates of gun ownership than the USA.

Right, I'm running 3.2
SHUT UP!!! I swear that if I ever see MSSQL, IIS or a Nav product running on my Linux machines I'll hunt you down.
Makes you wonder if this a real memo or simply a joke on enterprise buzzword.
If thousands of Microsoft employees can't do that, why should I even try to fix that mess?

Not totally related to Android by itself, but well, just to scare you a little:

I find Black Mirror's view of humans generating energy with bicycles more appealing.
Wow, it's going to be amusing to see all the sociopaths on that spacecraft fighting for being the first human on Mars.

Since I think this is a good idea (not doing it secretly of course), I'm going to coin this kind of software as "Mineware".
The main problem I see here is when you have 2 or more Minewares installed and all of them are reaching out for GPU time.
A robot shall not make too thick/thin noodles.
