I really fail to see why having a road go back to gravel is a big deal at all, I have been in counties in Texas where an asphalt road ment you were in a city limits, gravel roads are nearly all the county roads were. Also, learning to ride a bike is 100x more fun and challenging on a gravel road.
In Texas I got mine done with the insurance to my car, and just knowing my social. That was just around last thanksgiving and I spent maybe 30mins in the DMV tops.
Buying up the talent that stands in your way doesn't mean those programmers are going to try 100%. Maybe Vista was some sort of company internal backlash from pissing off major groups of employees.
Wanting DRM and having it thrown at you is different, and as Vorbis is an open format and if they did put any DRM in it would that DRM encryption scheme become open too. I do not know what license it has.
In the US I am fairly sure we never really get rid of an idiot leadership, just postpone noticing things because the media hangs to the new side until some point halfway through an elected officials term, and then get a different sort of idiocracy as different issues come about. But there is no such thing as a total approval, everything done will piss off atleast some number of people somewhere.
But the system, no matter how it seems at the present, has worked for many years.
The Wii controller is alot more useful than its given credit for, its a bluetooth HID and actually works really well on a computer, with a driver for it of course. I seen them used to control everything from WoW to a presentation.
Lawyers often do hire tech people to advise them on cases, but a lot of the times the cases hinge on things other than technical issues.
That's true, most of the time a case that has anything to do with technical things, it almost always covers grey area in which the technology nor the law is totally specific one way or another causing the case to be placed on other parts that sound like real arguments that can be won over.
Maybe because people running MythTV and Ubuntu are slightly more tech savvy than the ones using Windows Media Center, and could fix their own problems and not make a giant scene over loss of channels for some amount of time?
I live in middle of -no-where Texas and I used the DTV box for several months before the switch, and now my channels have dropped to near no signal since everyone else is using the signal. Last week my average signal was in the high 80%s, now its around 40% if at all. I guess its good I only watch one show and usually watch it later online anyway.
If it's so simple to create "Art" by just gathering stuff lying around, than people would just do it themselves. Not only would they not pay others for their work, but they wouldn't even bother to download it for free.
The fact that they do desire to experience it proves that the Artist is adding something significant and valuable to the mix.
I do not have the time in the day to make my music as my feelings dictate that day, its much faster to use a massive music library of songs to do that, but I am not going to pay ~$1.00 for a song unless I am getting a ~$1.00 worth of use out of it and very little in recent music has been that worthy of my dollar, but some has.
Being speciesist isn't bad, you just have to know which species to not like, and no humanity is not a good choice.
But a room sized computer of the 60-70s is now in like a cell phone, the size is still there, but the power has multiplied exponentially.
I would much rather use a mind reading control than get up to play using motion, and I own a Wii.

Nossir, we don't have us none of those fancy schmancy spell checkers in that thar future.
If I asked my relatives, maybe 1/8 would find anything wrong with that sentence, and maybe 1/32 would have the right way to fix it.
Some people may not trust Apple's ratings against a standing system such as ESRB

I would have thought a screen door on a submarine was on par with an average article, or rather the average of all articles.

But AAC and WMA have DRM capabilities, I don't think Ogg can, or MP3, making AAC and WMA a higher standard for things that are sold.
What about HD-DVD?
What does it take to understand that not all people yearn for freedom?
This alone makes the parent post insightful, highly insightful.

Its an outdoor grade antenna, but its in my attic, so that could easily be the problem.

5 bucks say this vaccine causes the virus to mutate and turn into something far worse than it originally was.
Only 5 bucks? If you really wanted to do that on /. it has got to be worth it.
Unless of course you are talking about an animal that has a buck, like a deer, then that's totally worth it.

US News un-bias-o-matic
Its more of a US News uber-bias-o-matic

Just putting the odds in your favor does not guarantee total success.
That neither improves your point, nor weakens mine, so it really is redundant to point it out.

Ive got to admit, that is more interesting that the politicians turn such a blind eye to reason in the face of the the word "free"
