If copyright was designed to encourage artists to produce more art for the enrichment of the people, how did it ever start being applied after an artist's death. You can't get more art from the dead. I mean, I know greed explains it, but what's the justification?
Yeah, I sub for Google Play Music, mostly for listening in my car. The removal of ads on Youtube is nice but those Youtube Originals are garbage. I really can't stand watching most Youtube personalities and would never pay to do so.
What if we're not "in" a simulation but are a part of that simulation. How could we get out if we're just another programmed element of the simulation?
I don't see the point of a smartwatch that requires you to carry your phone around all the time. If a smartwatch could operate independently then I think it would be much more useful. While I don't think a watch would need 4G service, the addition of free 3G, like Amazon has for the Kindle, would be a game changer.
I bought a smart tv a few months ago. It wasn't any trouble to set up and the UI isn't bad. The remote is just a remote, nothing special or difficult about it. I don't understand why so many here have such trouble setting up a tv. I guess people just like to complain.
I hated using Windows for years because I thought that Bill Gates and friends were assholes for their business practices. Now I hate Linux, not because Linus has evil business practices, just because he's as much an asshole as they ever were.
I've used Firefox for a long time now but it seems like Mozilla is doing everything it can to drive me to another browser. Ads, Yahoo/Bing, playing politics with their CEOs, these things annoy me. I've fought against moving to Chrome but it's getting harder and harder to avoid the switch.

I found her Youtube channel about a month ago and watched a number of her videos. They were informative, entertaining, and well written. I didn't see anything that I disagreed with and thought she was spot on in many cases. It is ridiculous that she has to suffer abuse for just stating the obvious, that there flaws with the way women are depicted in media and video games.

I don't want to see it, I wouldn't want any kid of mine to see it, and the thought of gore groupies getting a kick out of it sickens me. Also, if it was a family member of mine who was beheaded, I'd be furious at anyone who posted the video.

Wrong on number two. Valve did not tell its Steam users about this intrusion. They did not send out any emails or Steam IMs to their members, they didn't mention this on the Steam news page, and in fact they didn't mention it anywhere on Steam at all. The only place this intrusion is mentioned is on the forum. They're happy as punch to tell me through Steam that I can buy freaking Wallace and Gromit for 66% off but they don't inform me that all that my personal information has been compromised? That is shameful.
I have been familiar with the free software movement and have heard about RMS for a long time but I never really knew much about the man himself. I mean we all know about his work and his ideology but what is the guy really like?
I think this email gives us a good peek into who RMS is as a person. I think it really shows him in a good light as a genuine, generous, and down to earth guy who really believes in his cause. I respect and like him more after having read this email.

It may also be a violation of the various credit card companies' ToS as well.
