I won't download anything that "breaks" my ability to download MP3s, so that just means I won't buy their SDMI music. Simple enough?
Also, how is this signal from the RIAA going to come? I honestly wonder what they mean by that. You have to connect to their server to play the format? By the looks of what they are suggesting, they don't understand what they are doing.
Oh well, once someone actually hits the big time because of MP3, then we will have SDMI music.
Price wars are hurting Nintendo, the lack of RPGs in Japan is. But they show that with a non standard product that they can still kick ass, unlike Sega. And don't go around praising one system over the other, since the Playstation has some good games and the N64 has good games too.

Nintendo hates load times, so I'm sure that they will figure something out to minimize that.
And finally, since I'm not buying Quake 3, I'm going to buy other games.
It is the perfect way for them to make money. Then they won't go around leeching off countries as much. Let them register the domain names and get some money from it. And then we have the only relatively independent group having a monopoly.
Maybe they could keep stuff private. I filter most of it into my trash, but it still is hard.
Maybe the problem is that it was pushed before it was really good enough to let an idiot use it. You don't take a beginner skier on the big hills right away. You put them on the bunny hill, and have them slowly build up to the big hills. With Windows you are stuck on the bunny hill.
The basic lack of understanding about computers comes from the iMac. Those commericals with Jeff Goldblum say you use your computer just for e-mail and the net. And basically that is was most people do. You can use an Amiga to do that, if you wanted to. People don't care. I am starting to care. I want to delete Windows so badly.
Ebay went out for a few hours, and the world goes to hell for some people. Okay, Windows crashes stuff randomly and with more annoyances on average. This is the first time I've heard that Ebay had problems. Have you heard anyone ever say that about Windows?
Netscape invested in RedHat, and then was bought by AOL, who got the investment.
But AOL would lend an air of legitimacy to Linux just because there user base is stupid. If the company that caters to the newbie is accepting Linux, that means everyone above the new people are looking at Linux. I would liken it too a cheap PC provider adding something totally new to their PCs. Well, every other company would have to because they don't want the cheapest one having an advantage over them. Instead of a trickling down effect of a new feature, it would come from the bottom up.
While they would most likely make a killing if they did offer stock, then guess what would happen? You would have another Internet-type stock and regular uninformed people would have the power which would be to maximize their profits. And that leads to Microsoft.
They will eventually go public. And of all of the companies now investing into Red Hat- Intel, Netscape/AOL, Dell, and other I'm sure I've forgotten will not be able to collectively decide on anything. I'm sure all they want for now is to end the MS monopoly.
And have you ever asked them if you could invest in them? Maybe they would take a large enough sum from a group of people. Don't complain unless you try to change it and fail.
That is odd, but cool. Maybe you should auction them off on EBay. You never know what people tastes are. I mean people buy those tastless designer clothes.
I would take one, but I live in a dorm. Ah hell, I would take one any way.
And people keep old crappy software for nostalgia (video game emulation) or for the fact that they can't buy the new version, which isn't the reason for the Netscape thing.
But think about it. They have old airplanes, cars, and other things. Why not old computer firsts?
Two different names. If you are the same person, you never mention that, and I haven't read that many and never pay attention to the names (so I'm not influenced that they are an AC)
Anyway, yes the author/main character of the story recovered. I was also mixing in child abuse/rape, which severly distorts some people's behaviors. She wasn't that old, if my memory is right. That can have long term affects.
Is euthanasia considered a killing worse than rape? I can't answer that, because I don't want to have to decide. But a rapist is not the best thing to be locked up for. There are only a three crimes that will get prisoners treating you worse. At least I think that is what it was when I took Pyschology.
I could call your response worthless prattle. But I won't, I will respond to it. And I don't see what you say in his letters. He is basically saying he doesn't deserved to be flamed constantly. And I am sure that you cannot write flawless essays most of the time. These read like HTML-ized e-mail responses. They aren't meant for publication to the world, just to people who want to know why he is acting this way.
Flaming other people just means that you don't have a good counter arguement. And Slashdot is full of people who act like idiots, contrary to what you might believe. There are some threads are so pointless it is beyond belief. So Slashdot kiddies is pretty accurate, for the people he is describing.
And some people on Slashdot aren't Linux people. I'm not, I use Windows 98 and Solaris mostly. I am not one of the Linux community, but I am part of Slashdot. Does that make me bad?
No. Just different. If anything, you should notice that people should cooperate or we will keep having Kosovo, Somalia, or Rwanda happening again. I use Windows. So what? I seem to have a more sensible mind than some of the Linux people around Slashdot. You can have your bitter opinion, but there are other opinions that might be better than yours. And no one has the right to stop you from complaing.
Yeah, I think that is the basic idea, but some people believe that Internet chat people are normal. You don't need some else along all of the time, just make the first time you meet somewhere open and public, like a mall or a restaurant. Unless the person is a good liar, you should be able to tell what will happen.
To some people, murder is better because you don't have to deal with it. Read When Heaven and Earth Changed Places and tell me what you think. The author thinks she would have been better off dead. There is also some articles at Salon Magazine about it too. Rape stays with you for the rest of your life. When you are dead, you aren't thinking "Hey, why did this happen to me?" Have you ever talked to a rape victim? It is not pretty. A slow and painful death is worse than rape, but not a gunshot to the head.
Of course, never expierencing either makes me not the best person to judge.
I finally know now where the some of the comics on the door of the computer lab are from.
Companies don't like bad press, but I don't see the harm in what he did. I have seen worse than those. I mean, there is a limit to what is a complaint. Comics strips are supposed to make fun of stuff. That is the nature of a joke. Dilbert makes fun of management, Calvin and Hobbes was about a strange childhood.
This must have prior decisions, and those will probably guide what happens to User Friendly. If he has made fun of everyone equally, then he should not have a problem. Of course, you never know. If it is Microsoft, he could bring a suit against them for misleading the public in their publications. Just a mean thought.
Why? I have no idea. Maybe that is the reason so many people act like idiots. I try to respect everyone, and I get better service that way.
The problem here is people will take both money and respect, and then forget about the respect and go for the money. MS is being killed by the lack of respect companies and people have towards them.
If you really want to shock a freeware author, send him money. Not much, but just a few dollars with a note saying thanks that you keep your software free. It seems paradoxal, but it helps.
I mean the game is in Japanese, so it has a limited audience. And if it is anything like the last one, I wouldn't even want to pirate or buy the next one. And why would you play it in Japanese when it will come out in English and be much easier to read.
Maybe they are doing it so the Connectix emulator would be cirumventing a piracy feature if they made those games emulatable. That is just an interesting thought though. I don't think that it will really hurt Sony in the long run. Unless the people who bought it request a refund because it doesn't work on their emulator...
Also, what is the deal with the people saying I'm first? We aren't in Kindergarden, and the -I called it first- syndrome doesn't really matter here.
I won't download anything that "breaks" my ability to download MP3s, so that just means I won't buy their SDMI music. Simple enough?

I hope that makes sense.

I mean, they don't have any intelligent people there. That is why I research before I go to any of those stores.
And I know that is a generalized stereotypical statement, but I have yet to be proved wrong in the stores I have visited.

Hey, I don't see any other programs having this problem, like the Playstation Emulator for Mac.
There isn't really a point to this other that to allow it to play more games. Which of course I am sure will be for totally legal pursuits.
Geez...
