No matter what you do. No matter what you believe, in 4 billion years the sun is going to go Red Giant, and swallow the earth whole. It doesn't matter if you believe in global warming or not.
In essence we will be the only thing that remains of it.
It doesn't matter if you believe that we are 'in charge' of the earth because of God making us so, of if you believe that we are just part of nature (even if some believe we are a very destructive part and that this has to change).
In 4 billion years it will all be gone.
Now currently we are the only species that has the capability to survive this event by creating technology that will allow us to 'colonize' other planets and have our species survive. If we get to that point (if we don't blow-up/burn/freeze ourselves first) then I'm sure we will do a "Noah's ark/Titan AE" kind-of-thing, but no-matter what - it will still be for us, about us, and created by us.
I don't know if Global warming is real. I don't know if Gore believes in it because he cares about the world or if he just has alot of money invested in green technologies. But I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt. And although I view myself as 'agnostic' when it comes to global warming, I do like the idea that Apple products will be as green as possible.
I think that the right side is a better player. But I must argue that the handicap given to the left side (reset score to 0, after 23) is a tad unfair.
If this virus affects the survival of the species, let the species die out. I don't like the idea that we should interfere with 'survival of the fittest'.
But I do admit that it would be sad if they are gone.

I pretty sure that cellphone companies carry records not just of the calls you make, but also of where you were at the time (closest cellphone tower) when you made the call, as well as where you are while your phone is on (so they know which tower to send a signal to, if someone calls).
I don't see a reason that would force them to erase those records. These researchers are just getting data that is available (in far greater detail) to those working for that company.
My cellphone provider even has a $5 service where they will tell you where your cellphone is online. Who says that the service is not available to them whenever they please.
The only way to avoid this is to not carry a cellphone (while it's on).
Exactly. By definition, a pattern is 100% predictable by looking at its history. Why is this news? Hell no I'm not going to RTFA.
Looking at the fact that most of the posts sofar can be summarized by the statement "Isn't this obvious". I predict that most people (x > 50%) will also not RTFA.
A monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare
Why shouldn't we expect the same to work with music but using computers?
The rules are different. We can study music and create algorithms that make the computer a few bits better than monkeys, so a computer can come up with music that sounds good to us much faster.
Good tunes are good tunes. Artificial vanilla ice cream is still vanilla ice cream.

I'm sorry, but I messed up on #3, I don't smoke. So I had to do without. The clerk did look at me funny when I was spraying gas all over the place. Needless to say, I couldn't stop laughing at my jokes, but even some of the guys in the car thought those jokes were funny.
In the end, I did get to #7:
Never worry about gas pump skimmers for the rest of your life.
However, I don't like the color of the room I'm in, and the meds they give me taste like sh*t. And I think I'm gonna report the room-mate they gave me. I think he's a little bit nuts.

There should be neither.
The government should be the people. Right now the government is more the corporations than the people.

Not without getting the Ferengi(the original inventors of synthehol) upset.

Q3 is still one of my favorite games. The first thought that came to my mind when I read this was
"Do we have to hear about every case of someone porting something like this(doom, quake, etc)to a new device"
But considering all the effort that you put into doing this, I must say that I admire your dedication and attention to detail.
Great job.

I told them that there's something wrong with pictures of me.

That's one reason I'm not watching them.
At what point will the hardware capabilities exceed the software we can write?
If we have the hardware to simulate 'The Matrix', but no-one has written the software to make it realistic, what do we gain?

MS10-015 patch caused problems on many systems that had malware -
this leads me to believe that many systems have malware.
If anyone were to take control of a system compromised like this,
wouldn't they have access to spy using the camera and microphone?
The problem is that our laptops don't have a "hardware" off switch for the camera and mic.
