    You think they can't just find out when the pre-paid debit card was activated/used and look at the store videos?

    I think if anyone wants information from me they should have to ask me for it.

    But the protocol does ask you for it, and your computer answers. The solution is to train your computer to not give out the answers. There is no expectation of privacy when you freely answer nosy questions.

    787 has 847 firm orders to date. They'll be building them for quite a while. Sensitive subject where I live.

    FWIW: The first flight of the 787 came over my house at about 700'. Quite the site.

    A /30 is 4 addresses. One broadcast, one network, two hosts, often each end of a point-to-point link. Anyway everyone is using /31 now for PtP links (it's 2010 now.) Network routing is really a very small part of the IPv4 space. And try renumbering THAT part! Most network us RFC1918 address for internal routing anyway. Most large networks have issues of running out of that too!

    Would you feel comfortable if congress voted on ANYTHING related to SETI research?

    I'd almost rather the vote ONLY on SETI topics. That might keep them from doing too much harm and let the rest of us do what we need to do to keep keeping on.

    Anyway, I'm a white guy living in Indian Country and the politics around here are down right strange until you decode the family lines.

    Some of us liberals keep our chickens warm with good old Edison lamps. Since I've changed out most of my indoors high-use lamps with CF I've got a nice stash that will keep the ladies warm for years.

    BTW: a wood stove is carbon neutral, right?
