So your justification for a ban is "too many people die".
By what objective standard is the current number too many? How many would be acceptable?
If "too many" is sufficient justification then why don't we ban some or all alcohol because of "too many" deaths.
My iPhone can be submerged for hours and still work, in fact it can work while submerged. That is because I put my iPhone in a case that it appropriate for my level of use and abuse.
The way I look at it Apple makes the insides and I put on the outsides that I need.
Why not a laptop?
I bet they have laptops. Ask them why they don't carry them. My guess is size/weight, L-shape needing a table, cant be unplugged for more than a couple of hours and boot time.
>Historically, we can demonstrate the existence of Jesus, due to the historical events of Pontius Pillate and Ceaser and other shit happening around that time lining up, and something about some annoying beggar-preacher that they executed.
Historically, we can demonstrate the existence of Forest Gump, due to the historical events of John F Kennedy and Elvis Presley and other shit happening around that time lining up.
>>>There is currently NO LEGAL WAY for migrants from Mexico on south to come into the US.
>>That is just plain nonsense. It took less than five minutes of looking at the US State Deparment website to find more than one way for Mexican immigrants to legally enter the US.
Those ways are:
Be rich
Be educated
Be related to somone already here legally who can sponser you
The people crossing the border illegally do not qualify for any of these conditions.
If they did qualify they wouldn't be crossing illegally
Google can implament any software they like, and change it if it is wrong. If Samsung (or Apple) invest in the wrong hardware they can't fix it by sending out an update.
This is a hardware problem, not a software problem. The software end can be changed and updated after the sale. You can't change the hardware without a recall.
NFC is hardware. Google/Android is software.
They may try to influence their handset manufactures to use one standard over another but they don't have the control that Apple could exert.
I have a netbook too. It takes about 5 minutes to boot up. 4 if you were only hybrinateing. the keyboard is tiny and cramped.
I also hate the stupid little touch pad or trying to find somewhere to set a mouse.
My iPad on the other hand, takes about 6 seconds to open up and if I need a keyboard i can pull out my full size folding bluetooth keyboard with 10-key and avoid the hand cramps. No messing with a tiny touch pad or a mouse. It does everything i ever asked of my netbook. I also enjoy the wide range of cheap apps.
The subscription will be 99c but this cannot be implemented until Apple releases iOS 4.3.
iOS 4.3 has a feature that allows apps to charge a recurring subscription. The Daily is not the only app that will be using this. The New York Times app is also giving free trial access in some sections until "early 2011". My local paper is doing the same.
Why pay for what you can get for free? easy, they are not going to offer it for free on the website any more.
My local paper is going to a subscription where you have to pay for some of the news their reporters write. You can have free access to AP news and some articles, but if you want to see what local reporters are investigation you have to pay for it. That is information you cannot get somewhere else for free
The advantages of the app? Offline reading. Open it in the morning, hit refresh and you can read all the content without waiting for download and while you're away from internet access.
What iOS did with 1 manufacture making 5 (soon to be 7) device models. It has taken Android 30+ manufacturers with 100+ (soon to be 150+) device models to achieve.
I'm not sure how much of a "success" I would see this as.
I tried to go to the norton ink site but it just says my device doesnt have flash and probably never will but norton ink does....... well thats nice, but it doesn't help me learn about thier product.
If their site is in flash, how do they expect to woo iUsers?

In a free country we do not have to justfiy "need" we have to justify prohibition.
They are typically used in high schools where it is rare that any two students have all the same classes at all the same times.

One sniper per mile. 2000 miles. Three shifts of eight hours each.
Much of the border is remote desert land where it would not be practicle to station soldiers
Expense of relocating entire cities to creat a DMZ.
No. It is not. if for no other reason, the ipad is not a phone.
Size makes for a very different experience.
bluetooth keybord perhaps
Apparently someone wants to run autocad and photoshop because they both have apps out for ipad.

So buy a netbook.
The iPad 2 is being anounced, not released.

Bluetooth keyboard. It's there when you need it.
iPad apps can transfer files via Bluetooth or wifi. There is also the option of email or cloud servers.
Where will you go when you find the "real local news source" wants a subscription too?

Some people will say yes to anything that pops up. Especially if they think they must to use the app.

I was thinking "theme song"
