No it wasn't, it was just plain stupid.
What about that optical mouse?
Innovative??? Perhaps; Quality??? Nopez...
I had an Intellimouse Explorer, until the thin, bad design mousebuttons broke, and the silver layer started to come of
And, erm, the XBox.
Oh yeah, merging a PC with a console, now *that's* innovative. Knowing Microsoft, by the time this thing is released, real consoles will be much better (playstation 7 anyone?) and so will pc's.
We work hard on developing quality, innovative products here at Microsoft
Can't you tell us some more about these 'quality, innovative products' you're working on? It must have been kept quite a secret, since nobody has ever heard of these products until now.
Ofcourse there are ways around that too...
LILO: linux init=/bin/bash
Instead of loading/sbin/init it now loads a
shell immediately after booting the kernel.
Now use mount / -n -o remount,rw ; vi/etc/shadow or/etc/passwd and remove the root password.
They should go after the Backstreet Boys themselves instead. (and all other artists)
They're the ones who put that copyright there in the first place. If they didn't, people wouldn't need to share copyrighted work (they'd be sharing non-copyrighted work, which isn't illegal) therefore they are the guilty ones.
Perhaps someone working for aol/compuserve can sneak it on their promo cd's
In no time every single person on the whole planet will have at least ten copies for free.
And a 25% smaller screen? That's just not going to be very useful to people
A 25% smaller screen isn't really a problem, as long as the resolution is the same. The problem with these is, the graffiti-area will also be 25% smaller, which will make it harder to use. (I sometimes have trouble writing on my IIIe)
Actually, no - it's 2.54 millimeters, to be exact;)

I don't think this 'pirate' system will be officially recognized by nsi, so if they want to use a name already in use by the new system, they'll just use it anyway, even if that means some people won't be able to reach a part of the 'official' net. that'll be their problem then.
d. Until Implementation of the Plan, Microsoft shall:

Would this mean Microsoft cannot appeal without 'the prior approval of the Court' since appeal would undermine or interfere with the split.
The Amiga OS is capable of being self-hosted, and sitting on top of other operating systems. The new OS also embraces the Java language in a new, powerful and compliant way.
I dunno, but this sounds like a bad idea to me. Instead of a slow combination hardware-os-jvm-applic you'll now get hardware-os-somesortofemulationlayer-amigaos-jvm-a pplic
And besides, aren't they just trying to reinvent java:
A single application is capable of running on X86, Power PC, M.core, ARM, StrongArm, MIPs, SH3/4, and others
Perhaps in the near future... I've heard rumors IBM is going to support Linux running on an INS (Integrated Netfinity Server) - pc server inside as400, sharing storage space. Seems to me like a powerful combination.
Replace 'IE' with 'NT' and read the story again...
makes sense now eh???

Sure, but which license will the prayers be in?
They'll be GPL'ed (General Prayer License)

The IIIxe has flash ram for the OS, the IIIe doesn't.

Let's hope not, before you know it will only be possible to travel trough time in a spaceship running MS Windows 3122 TSE ( TimeShip edition )
