Same with Safari and some other apps on iOS. I would like to have te EU make Apple change iOS so that I can choose another app as the standard, like on a desktop OS.
How many years did the US government take again to 'punish' MS for its misuse of its monopoly? 15? And it was a punishment that benefited MS in the long run! No wonder the monkey danced.
It is, but think about it. You have to pretend to be interested in something you are not, and act as if it makes up a big part of your life. And you have to keep that up for a long time. That is hard. And then there is the added problem that people often get interested in things if they are forced to spend time on them, for instance because it's part of their job.
What a ridiculously backward country is the US. No Western country lets companies screw up their customers as much as the US. In no Western country, not even in the Netherlands and Great Britain, is politics so focused on helping companies make (more) money than in the US. No Western country screws up its citizens more than the US.
About FF's quality-of-life features: you know what I hate? That if you accidentally or purposefully close the last tab, the whole browser just disappears. All browsers except Firefox do this. That alone is reason enough for me to keep using FF.
Car companies all over the world have been doing this for as long as I live (almost 50 years now). Only in America they have model years. We don't don't do that here.
Interesting and smart! I have an early 2011 MBP which is still serving me very well. The best laptop Aplle ever built IMO. I'm treating it with more and more care because if it breaks down I need to either buy a very old similar laptop or the rubbish Aplle now has on offer. So I hope it will keep working until sanity kicks in at Apple HQ.
If you can afford an iPhone you donâ(TM)t have to be careful with your money. But you still have sense. Why does every Apple hater assume that all folks who but Apple are idiots?
Wow what a déja-vue! For those of you who are too young to remember: MS did exactly the same in the 1990s.

Does Vimeo use Flash? I just got an empty page on my iPad when I followed the link to the videos.
The De Beers company probably has known this since the 1950s or so.
Not only are People's memories short, but there is a whole new generation of people who never saw the monkey run.
But some screwdrivers are better than others. Magnetic, hardened steel tips and so on. It's the same with OS's.

Even if he knows what the word means, he still doesnâ(TM)t what truth is.
Oh man IE 6. All other browsers were so far ahead you couldn't even see them anymore and it still wouldn't die. I even had colleagues who swore by it.
You can often put more memory in their products than Apple says in the manual.

Yeah. They can start with a keyboard that actually feels like one.
Here in Europe we have bank passes with NFC. Much handier than using a phone.
Like what? It's very hard to come up with interesting stuff that you can make money with these days.
In the Netherlands we also know how to keep an eye on our citizens. But we sem to be working to go in the opposite direction, luckily.
I pay the same as in my own country in every EU country I am in,
My point is that I don't need two SIMcards for that, unlike the person I replied to.
Buy, not but.

I live in Europe. I can roam the whole continent and probably a lot further too with the same SIM card.
Imagine the savings on fuel!
