I have Tiger. It's all this 'maybe this, maybe that' that I'm tired off. 'Maybe Leopard will kill MS!' We'll see wether that happens, won't we? No need to get so excited about unlikely future events.
I've had more than enough of all these Apple vs Windows and vice versa stories. All this speculation is good for nothing. As long as the software is vapourware I'm not going to let myself be made crazy. I'll wait for Bill and Steve to show us their stuff.
Totally offtopic, I know, but I installed Ubuntu a week ago (coming from SlackWare), and after the first login it wouldn't start the window manager anymore. Thanks to my SW experience I was able to fix that, and now I am very happy to have changed distributions. Finally a package system that works, and an automounter that works out of the box, etc.! Kudos to the Ubuntu team. Now go fix that login bug guys!:-)
Well I'm sorry to tell you that most children above the age of four years know the difference between good and bad, and know that harassing other children by kicking them, spitting on them or whatever is very wrong and intolerable. When they do it anyway they NEED punishment to show them that they are being watched and people care about what they do.
I also find their new Mac Pro very good value for money. Many people forget that Apple just doesn't sell low-end stuff. You get high specs for a reasonable amount of money.
I recently showed my MacBook Pro to a friend of mine. The first thing he did with it was look up a cheap Acer laptop on the Interweb, because the MPB was 'far too expensive'. Some people will just never get it.
Need a visual? Imagine the universe just a million years after it was born, Cornish suggests. A batch of light travels for a year, covering one light-year. "At that time, the universe was about 1,000 times smaller than it is today," he said. "Thus, that one light-year has now stretched to become 1,000 light-years."
Wow that's a load of b**ls**t! I skimmed the article but now I know why I didn't read it:-)
How can it be 180 billion light years wide and just 15.8 billion years old? If the Big Bang theory AND Einsteins theory that nothing can go faster than light are both correct, the universe can only be 15.8 * 2 = 31.6 billion light years wide. I am a lowly nanotechnologist, and for them everything bigger than a mm is HUGE, so the size of the universe is incomprehensible beyond imagination to me. Can anyone with more knowledge about the universe elaborate on this?

Oops I didn't mean to offend, that really was a typo. Open source!!! Not open sores. Sorry, should have previewed.
Grrr waiting period!!
I would choose the one that is best at doing the job at hand, open sores or not. In a business envirenment that is the only thing that counts.
Turns red.
Runs away.
Comes back half an hour later.
Yes of course I have! What do you take me for?
A pair of trousers.

I thought about that too, but then I thought: surely he will have encrypted all that sensitive data.
OK, I think we understand each other. Thanks for the comment. I agree with you.
You have 4 million dollars worth of data on a freakin' LAPTOP without a backup at home?! I call that irresponsible. You're fired! :-)
I didn't see what type of game it is at all. That was the most crappy trailer I've ever seen.

Well, maybe this time there was really something. Let's wait a week or so until things are more clear before shouting things like this.

Thanks! I hope he's better at writing about dogs than tech...
Jon Katz! That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Is he still alive?
I said I knew nothing about the matter. I can't get my head around the fact that apparently space, which is just nothingness, can expand!

My question exactly. I can see the headlines: Einstein Was Wrong! :-)

I tried it, it works! I must say it's a real clever idea. I want a country too!
That made me laugh! Thanks for the info, I'll check it out!
I get my radio fixes through the internet, mainly public radio stations (KCRW, KFJC, WFMU) as well as Radio Nova from Paris.
Thanks for the tip! I put them all in my playlist on iTunes!
You might also like KZAM radio.
Never reply to an AC. Makes them feel important, and post more shit.
:-)
You're right though
I like these review thingies they have now on /. Saves me the time to comb long threads for interesting and insightful comments. Kudos to Taco et al!
