It's hella easy to use. Portable and device/application independent.
Been using it for quite awhile.
Every site has a unique password based on a passphrase. You can have as many passphrases as you can remember. I tend to use a different passphrase based on the type of site.
It's pretty cool since I don't technically know the password to any site. So even I can't be compromised.
What the hell are you babbling about? I've been using MythTV with Comcast HDTV via Firewire and the commercial autoskip works great. I agree the content tends to be lacking but I'm stuck since Comcast is the only ISP who can get me decent speeds. I'm still pissed that I'm unable to get any thing other than cable Internet despite being located between two major tech hubs.
You shouldn't be in IT. Please pack up your A+ and MS certs and get the hell away from anything remotely technical.
Thanks to lazy and ignorant people like you who keep feeding cash into the black hole of the major vendors who are making it hard for people like me to get anything serious done.
I'd like to tell you and following companies to frak off:
Panasonic GD-55. It is tiny, has pretty decent reception, speaker phone, super loud ringer. Got it off ebay a few months ago. Get comments all the time about how small it is.
Panasonic has a similar phone with GPRS and a color screen that I'm eyeballing.
For a while I gave up carrying a phone with me since I was getting bat-belt syndrome and needed to loose a few pounds in the gadget department. Now I can carry the phone in my jeans pocket and forget it is there most of the time. Nice basic phone. Get it.
True, but if everyone had to ride a motorcycle they'd end up like cars. A million safety feature to protect the idiots.
I'm so bummed it is such a pain in the ass to import some of the very high efficiency compact cars from europe because they don't meet the dumb ass american safety standards. They should levy a safety surcharge on cars based on gross vehicle weight. Not everyone needs a fscking tank to protect their 2.4 kids.
Except it sucks to ride a motorcycle in the snow. And the rain. I'd love to ride my motorcycle ('02 VFR800) 365 days a year, but here in Colorado the weather only cooperates about half the year. I saw a vehicle in Europe that was an enclosed 2 person motorcycle and haven't been able to find out who manufactures it. If I could get one of those, I'd ditch my car.
Welcome to the web site for the Higher Education Mac OS X Lab Deployment Initiative. Our goal is to simplify the task of installing and maintaining Mac OS X in a computer lab. We will find and document solutions to a host of challenges that commonly arise when deploying labs in a higher education environment. The result will be a roadmap for others to use as they plan to roll out Mac OS X at their institutions.
Yeah, but sony was not, at the time Neuromancer was written, the ubercompany they are now. That and the only only sony reference I can remember was the little robot that guided Case around at the end.
His new book seems saturated with brand name dropping. I couldn't stand it. He's trying to create an atmosphere with niche products (read iCube). And in a few years it is just going to look silly.
Neuromancer has really held up well considering it was written in the early '80s.
Gibson is so focused on microcultural events that the book was dated before it was even published. Which is really funny considering that the main character has a deep revulsion to trademarks. I really got tired of seeing trademarks in the text, especially that damned iBook. At least in the Neuromancer series the trademarks were made up.
Politely give them there money back and thank them for their past business and tell them that you are no longer interested in having them as a customer.
If they're not smart enough to realize that they incure some responsibility as owners (i.e. own a car, change the oil) then they shouldn't be owners.
I'm seriously sick of people trying to pass of responsibility when they're too ignorant or lazy.
I've been doing systems administration for the last six years after dropping out of college. I've been seriously regretting it for the last two. Don't get me wrong I love my job, most days it's a lot of fun and I get to play with all kinds of stuff. However, I am quite certain this is NOT what I want to do for the rest of my life (ever seen a 30+ burned out tech, it ain't pretty). The hardest part is trying to make time to go back to school. Really, really difficult to do if you're on-call or required to on-site during business hours.
If you really want to system admin, find out about working in the computer labs (they always need people). That way you'll get a taste while working on your degree. Just don't let it interfere with your studying. Draw a line and stay focused, otherwise they'll suck the life out of you (there's always a problem that needs attention now!!)
Good luck and don't get tied to proprietary or legacy systems, there might be good money in it for the short term, but long term it's a waste of time. Ummon
If your checking your mail in the clear in a classroom environment, you're just asking for trouble. I'd like to see a professor try to eavesdrop on a SSH session.
Take mine too.

Wow, when did this site become news for middle management? Sadly off to reddit. Kbythx, Ummon.

So what if my ISP is my cable provider (effing Comcast)? Am I effectively paying twice for this content?

Does anyone know of any non-apple laptops that can do this?

By the way I found that enclosed bike (http://www.peraves.ch/turboe.htm)

Since, Safari and iTunes both use webcore as the backend on the Mac. Does this mean we might see a port of Safari on Windows? Anybody heard anything?
If you get a tmobile phone then the hotspot is only $20 a month
From their site:
I personally use ASR to deploy systems. Setup a base image and roll 'em. No, it's called optical out. Most high end (and quite a few cheap) CD players have it.
Couldn't you just jam the GPS receiver? Some tinfoil in the right spot on the car and no worries.
No, we'd just make fun of you.
