Medical care is like cops or firemen. When your house is on fire you cant afford to shop around and let the market work. Similarly when you are sick you cant shop around and let the market work. Just like cops and firemen are paid through taxes, doctors need to be paid through taxes as well. There should be no medical insurance. A National Health Service should take care of health. People should also have to go through preventive care (just like you need to have fire inspections of buildings). Currently the Medical Industry only makes money when you fall sick so they have no incentive to keep you healthy. A NHS would have a fixed budget and it would have an incentive to keep you healthy through cheap preventive care rather than do expensive interventions when you fall sick. Just like you can put your children in private school or hire private security you would still be able to go to private hospitals but the public alternative should be good enough for the vast majority of people Tl/DR THe market does not work for some things which is why we have a govt provide them. Whether deadly force is justified or not is the basic question. You cannot let cops use deadly force at the smallest risk. On that principle every common citizen is at some risk whenever a cop comes on the scene. It might be a bad cop who likes to get his gun off. If we follow your standard everytime a cop comes on the scene with a gun the common citizen can use deadly force against the cop in self defense. Before a cop can kill someone in self defense it should be clear they are under attack and no - not obeying a police order is not an attack on the cop. Further we need to hold cops to a higher not a lower standard than the common citizenry as they receive training in defusing situations without using deadly force whereas the common citizen does not. Basically by protecting bad cops you are eroding the trust of the public in the cops and once the public does not trust the cops they will shoot first and answer questions at trial (self defense aginst a crazy cop. if the cop is dead you cant really prove he was not crazy that day). Good cops should want the bad apples out of the force not protect them.

Law and order depend on proportionality- the punishment has to fit the crime and brandishing a knife does not warrant execution. You cant just execute people for bad behavior without a trial. Deadly force is only meant to be used to save lives. Even if its a serial killer who will be given death penalty at trial , its not the police's right to kill him at arrest time. They are not Judge, jury and executioner.
Black officers go to the same racially biased police training academies where they are taught black men are dangerous. Blacks consitute a large portion of the poor in the USA and in any country the poor commit more crime. As a percentage of poor whites commit more crimes.
With assured overtime, generous leaves, medical packages and pensions its way over 100K. These are all things you dont get in the private sector even with a college degree. In a previous avatar when I was a project Manager I waited for the team members to go home so I could get my creative work done as while the team is in office its mostly babysitting and unblocking - small tasks but which keep breaking your flow of thought. And I would find it very irritating when these folks would not go home either to impress me or to get the free dinner - dont know which. Basically I hated them for not going home and they though they were impressing me with long hours. I kind of figured out I need to do a more creative job than project management and moved to consultative sales.
Sweden has let in a large number of refugees from all 5 of the countries where wars are going on - Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia - in which USA is an aggressor and there is reasonable to believe that many of these refugees blame USA for destroying their countries. It is not such a reach to think Swedish residents can be terrorist threats to USA. On top of that add that most screening systems are prevented from using religion as a filter , a Swedish citizen with a defintiely non Muslim name may get picked up if the algorithm is not very specific.
