In 2-3 years, small ISP's will be dead. It'll follow the same path that automakers. When cars first became popular, there were dozens of auto manufacturers, now there are only a handful of major players in each country. The same is happening to ISPs.

It'll never happen. Sega has already announced plans to develop for Xbox, PS2, and the Gamecube. The last thing Sega needs now are 'exclusive' contracts.

We -are- trying to get rid of speed limits. And US citizens are winning the battle. Montana no longer has a speed limit on interstates. The limit has been raised in most other states. And some states are lax in enforcing interstate speed limits unless the driver is being reckless.
For example, I drove across Texas in a rented Taurus at an average of 100mph. I passed at least 3 cops parked on the side of the road. I thought I was hauling ass..until I was passed by a Jetta.

No Michelle Yeoh? That opens the door for Cynthia Rothrock. to take her place. She has more martial arts skill than Yeoh, she's beautiful, and she has an incredible HK film background.

This could have killed DVD if it had came out when DVD was just starting to get a foothold. But now it's too late. People with DVD players are used to scene selection, menus, commentaries, and extras. DVHS would see like a step back to most.
And what about tape degradation? One of the reasons I hate VHS is that after a year or so, movies are noticibly lower in quality. A couple of years after that, they're unwatchable. Wouldn't DVHS have the same problem? Except instead of blurry pictures, I'd see little colored blocks popping on the screen

Not to sound like an advertisement, but my site (url below) has this story plus 2 rebuttals, one of them even has statements from scientists to help prove that Santa exists.

This is probaly the 5th time I've heard about a 3dGUI. I year ago someone released one for Win98 and it was useless. I tried it for a couple of days and found out that it was taking me longer to 'spin' the desktop, and zoom in to the app, that it took to just click on the app with out all the (not so) pretty graphics.

Most DVD players can Play VCD's. My Apex 600 has no problem with them. They fact that PS2 isn't VCD compatible kinda dilutes it's claim has a mid-high end player. When $150 player out performs a $400 player, you gotta wonder....

Just last night I saw the english version of Black Magic M66 on Cinemax-Action. And Showtime had Wicked City on a few months ago. Maybe you should look into digital cable or satellites for your anime fix

My Apex DVD player plays DVDs(although it chokes on T2:Ultimate Edition), and MP3 CDs and it only cost $150. My Sega Dreamcast plays games and has internet access via it's built in modem and it can be picked up for $150.
So why would I want to give these guys an extra $300?

I thought MTV was taking an anti-napter stand. They had the Napster creator guy on stage for about 1 minute and quickly got him out of there, but Metallica got a whole anti-Napster skit that made it look like Napster is the tool of dumb college kids.
Some people like watching legos run around a maze.
Some people like watching gross displays of violence and destruction.
personally, I'm in the second group.
You have to remember that this is geared to the mainstream. Having it simply be robot vs robot without hype or backstories would limit it to just techies. Like it or not, most people need a to latch on to a personality to stay interested.
I love the announcer guys. They're a lot better than the PPV announcers. The blond guy is actually funny and the brothers are great. And the fact that they arent trying to push Donna D'errico as a legit commentator makes it even better.
Just yesterday the IT guys at my job were giving me hell about installing MySQL on a server. They want -everything- to be on MSSQL.
I just sent them an email about MSSQL security..along with proof that it could be broken into.
Revenge is so sweet.

is that PostGres has a kickass ODBC driver. I'd like to know how things would've worked out with the PHP, Perl and C interfaces.
And why didn't they just come out and name MSSQL and Oracle?

Robocup = Autonomous, nonviolent robots pushing a ball into a goal
or
Battlebots = Violent radio controlled bots beating the crap out of each other with axes, chainsaws, and spikes...
This is a no brainer.

People PLEASE! Do I have to spell out everything for you? The answer is obviously 'NO'.
This is 3rd grade stuff, people.
