    The GPS makes no claim to accuracy of the maps they provide.

    This is why it would be cool to put trackers on all the cars so that very accurate maps could be automatically drawn and redrawn indicating traffic flow. Oh, but there's that thing...

    We used a compass, road map, and a watch, in an open cockpit flying through a snow squall.. at night.. and we liked it!

    Yeah, LORAN was the option back in the day. The thing is now we can use whatever we have and use inertial nav as a very reliable backup. I see no real problem, except for military targeting. The rest of us should be able to find our way home. At the same time, I can imagine the yuppie panic in the city, getting lost on the way back from the 7/11. That'll teach 'em not to leave bread crumbs.

    VOR/DME is still the way to go. ADF will get you by in a pinch, but it can throw you a real curve ball sometimes.

    You suggest penalizing representatives of the people of Utah for actions of the government of Utah. Does that make sense to you?

    Yes, of course. The people voted for and reelected them. Absolutely they are responsible.. for not voting them out. This can only mean that the government operates with the full consent of the people. And those people put the same kind of politicians into congress in Washington. Those people have far to much influence in domestic and foreign policy and other matters outside of Utah.

    I know perfectly well how the market works. I'm saying it's long time past making the shift to the proper way of measuring things.     Yay! Somebody else gets it.. Yes, always address the response. And it's exactly the same when dealing with "offensive", "slanderous", or "libelous" speech, or any hearsay. But... it's much more convenient to attack a single target. The "leader", so to speak.

    If it had been, it would cost about $200 a paragraph to read. That's what I like about hearsay and gossip, everybody will offer that up for free, and in spite of that, it has become a most valuable commodity, garnering $400 million dollar contracts and private jets for some.
