BSA appears to have their servers down. Could this be another instance of slashdot recklessly endangering a business's computer infrastructure by linking? You be the judge.

  2. Lag could be negated (or made unnoticeable) on Walking Around In Spherical VR · · Score: 1
But wouldn't the sphere's inertia cause a noticable lag when you start or stop walking, or when you change direction? They don't address it, and I'll remain dubious until I roll it on my own.

They could vary the mass of the sphere according to your mass. If you have a sphere made of a chunk of steel it'll take a lot of effort to overcome it's inertia, but if it was made of styrofoam (remember, this is hypothetical) it would go spinning every which way. I imagine after some R&D they could come up with a platform which could have it's mass adjusted on the fly.

    There's my 2 cents.

    This is my patent.
Likewise with my patent on the Ambidextrious Coffe Cup.

Now, having said all this, the biggest problem I had with the Glasstron is: simply too many wires. The concept, as I say, is sound, but you wind up being the center of a tangle of wires. One single wire I would not mind, and if it went to a PDA, I'd be esctatic.
