If the first thing a 11 year old kid thinks about when he gets a cannon is load it and shoot it at the neighbors, there's something fundamentally wrong with the kid. I could understand the consequences of my actions by the time I was 11. I may have been irresponsible with little things, but certainly not killing people or blowing up a house.

BATFE itself is not rational. They've declared a shoe string a machine gun, they've declared double barrel shotguns machine guns, they've declared broken guns machine guns, they prohibit felons from buying .22lr derringers, but allow them to own .50cal muzzle loaded rifles. 90% of gun laws serve no practical purpose, but are knee-jerk reaction laws to show that a certain politician is "making America more safe" when election time comes around.

Sure you can. The battery wall should be reinforced. If the screen is fine and the battery is crushed so that it's leaking then the battery casing is weak. Or you can build in a slot so the battery can vent if approaching critical temperatures.

Except a smart design would monitor temperature and current draw of the battery and have a shut off switch if either gets too high. Li batteries are safe if used in a competent manner.

Let's not all get on the bandwagon just yet that we have broken the laws of physics. I doubt even the scientists involved believe this, it's just another slow news day at the LA times and they're trying to make something big out of something little.

Why is the IBB intentionally trying to circumvent other countries laws? I'm all for net neutrality, but I understand that other countries have their own cultures and their own political spheres that is complex and not easy for us to understand. We can't even understand half the things our own government does. However, when was it policy to help citizens of other countries to break their own laws? What's the point of this other than to infuriate foreign governments? Amusement? And lastly, if it is our policy to infuriate foreign governments and prod them with a 4000 mile stick. We should send "semi-collector grade" samurai swords to Britain. I heard their parliament is so afraid of ninjas they banned samurai swords in an effort to prevent a ninja-takeover of London.

International Workers are already facing enough hardship to find work. They already face a salary cap. (I think it's 75k regardless) It is also human resource intensive to sponsor a F-1/J-1 into the US as opposed to a US citizen. Universities are trying to spin a positive into hiring these students not, because it is beneficial for companies, but because it is beneficial to UNIVERSITIES. The fact is Universities charge 5-10 times the tuition rate for international students for basically the same education. To the University board that means 5x-10x more profit compared to a US student. However, if all these international students can't find any jobs after they graduate, then fewer and fewer people will be willing to shell out the excessive tuition rates just to go to a US University.
