You can't blame the companies that invented the VCR only the users are to blame. That is like saying the person who invented CD Recorders is a theif. Well i like being able to backup my databases at work and bring them home. Yes some people use them to priate but not all.
Maybe, if the music industry charged reasonable prices then they would not be in this boat. A CD costs 50 cents to make. And they sell for 14-30 dollars (CDN funds).
G4 yes they are faster but in most cases run MACOS which is the and only operating system more useless then Windows. I didnt think it was possible but MACOS crashes all the time just like Windows and you have to re-boot almost as much.

I have used this product for a while now and all my old documents done in Word work fine in Star Office. So why would you spend 1,200 bucks when you can download Star Office off sun's website (www.sun.com) There is no point in supporting Microsoft when they are ripping you off anyways, at least go to Corel Word Perfect Suite 2000. Its 200 bucks i like it a lot better.
Why Open Souce???? Depends what the software is first. All operating system and stuff like internet browsers should bee all open source. Pretty much anything with sercurity issues. With Open Souce things get fixed fast and they are very customizable. Stuff like operating systems are good when they have the customizabity parts. But not all software is good for open source, like I would not open the source on games for example.
There has been worse, remember this is BETA and BETA's are suppose to be buggy, the point of releases them is to get fead back from the general public about bugs and other issues. Not to long go about 5 years, Microsoft release Windows 95, while this version of Netscape is a BETA and is a little buggy that was the release of the operating system. So people shutup it really ain't that bad. Just wait to the full version is out, but i will tell ya right now this Netscape 6 is a lot faster then Internet Explorer.

Some versions of UNIX may die but when you say UNIX is gonna die well, there is a lot of different versions of UNIX. I think LINUX might take out some UNIX versions, but stuff like IRIX i don't see dieing anytime soon. LINUX may kill versions like SOLARIS and DIGITAL.
X-Box is a great idea for those who do not want a computer, but it will lack Console video game producers, like Square Soft for example. People who like Rpg's and console based games the Play Station 2 is a better idea for the chirstmas stocking
People do actually i know some people who run LINUX as a desktop and some offices are switching from Windows NT Workstation to LINUX. It is still a dumb idea, thou, Microsoft will never be able to get office on LINUX and if they do well there gonna charge 1200 for it so there fucked. Most people run LINUX for the lack of cost.

Microsoft you do know that LINUX has something call a multi platform envirnoment....... SPARC, MAC, MIPS, ALPHA Etc. Oh and if you are gonna be gay and expect people to pay 1200 for your office for LINUX then fuck off. I will use COREL Suite 2000 or Star Office. Corel 2000 is way better then office 2000. There product dont crash when it wants to for starters!!

AMD is not in front and neither is INTEL really there about tied. they both have a problem no good boards for amd, and intel glitches on there good boards.
AMD once again you bring out your super fast useless processors. WOW Windows loads up faster. The motherboards hurt for one and your CACHE on your crap cpus hurts for the second. And the people that would use these fast cpus well wouldnt buy one. They would buy a real chip like, an ALPHA, MIP, SPARC, or a G4. Maybe if you ever get a decent motherboard out, maybe i will actually give a fuck about your chips. Right now your best is an board with 100 MHZ bus i throught you were so proud of that 200 MHZ bus well oh gives a fuck when the RAM dont support and the boards dont support. Well if you use RDAM it would, oh but you dont got any boards that support that.
Right now i love SuSE Linux but i could not really see the non computer people who just use computers for email, internet word processing etc. To be using Linux as a home os. But Linux has come a long way thou and it is around the corner, on becoming a desktop OS.
The Motherboards for K7's blow chucks. Wow we got a 200 mhz bus, whoopie fuckin do when the boards are 100 mhz good job AMD. If you want a real chip use a G4 500 and then install LINUX on it there a real system. That destorys your AMD. 1 ghz chip right now is so useless why dont they try to make there chip good instead?
