    My classes in college and HS always encourage women and girls to program. The guys there don't care if you're a guy or a girl either. Now that I'm in the working world, it's still the same views. The women simply lose interest or don't think this is a "girls" field to be in.

    +1 if I could. RNs can gather a lot of practical knowledge as years goes by but that's about it (That's why they're RNs and not doctors). Doctors (ER, Internal, whatever) are much more specialized and more experienced and that's just the fact they're in school for 8 yrs (2 yrs in rotation) and then residency for like 5-6 years. Basically and I'm oversimplifying this but its like being in training for over 7 years.

    MS can continue to support XP but that only encourages usage of an ever growing outdated OS or MS can stop (which they most likely will) and the corps/business/whatever will have to figure out a way to upgrade and they most likely won't upgrade since people's mentality is if it works, keep using it!

    sales of digital copies are selling well? Who would have thought? Hopefully we can bypass the middle man completely (mainly the publishers) and leave it to the distributors and the artist (plus maybe marketing or whoever is needed)

    Maybe but I doubt the demand is there since those people work from dusk till dawn in the fields and rarely have time to look at a machine. On their free time they socialize with each other (their neighbors, relatives, whomever) they won't be spending time at a computer.

    areas like this, I think they have their priorities wrong. I have been to 3rd world countries and the last thing the people there care about is internet access and a computer. They care about finding a job, getting food and feeding their families. Even if they did implement the technology, that's the easiest part, maintaining and keeping it running for years or even decades is the largest issue.
