    Apple has sold more than 100 million of iPhones a year since 2012. That would hardly qualify as a "niche" customer base.

    That's interesting because I know and work with hundreds of people who own iPhones and none of them view or pass it off as a status symbol. In my experience, the only people who make it out like anyone thinks an iPhone is a status symbol are butthurt Fandroids who think everyone should only buy the phone they approve of.

  6. The difference is, the Kuerigs (or at least the older models) don't have DRM, don't require Kuerig branded cups, and can do more than coffee. I've seen tea and cocoa K-cups, because basically, the operation is the same - run hot water over contents of K-cup.

    Good luck with the assembly language part. Have you tried optimizing in assembly language in a modern processor? Out of order execution and compiler optimizations for it make compilers often more efficient than good assembly coders.

    This is bullshit. It's easy to beat a compiler at SIMD optimization as auto-vectorization is still mostly universally crappy. If you don't want to write straight up assembly you need at minimum compiler intrinsics because without them the compiler will almost always just generate shitty, slow scalar code.

    Huh? That's an interesting alternate history. iOS and Android were two and one years old respectively by the time webOS first came out. Your post seems to falsely imply that webOS was older than them when it wasn't.

  24. How is difficult? You click Settings->Notifications. Scroll to app, tap it, swipe Allow notifications to the left to disable. It takes a whopping 5 seconds. I'm sorry that you're functionally retarded but even my 4 year old nephew can and has done it.
