  1. Nothing new on Is Our Infrastructure Ready For Rising Temperatures? · · Score: 5, Insightful

Lots of bus stops where buses are expected to sit for a while are paved with concrete because of this problem. When it's really hot out, buses sink into asphalt.

Why paper your walls when you can just use encryption?

To keep other Wifi signals out. It's a crowded spectrum.

Do you know what solid state means? It generally means that the circuit uses transistors instead of vacuum tubes. I'm pretty sure all TVs use transistors today.

How does decriminalizing / legalizing drugs help? If the drug addicts have no money, then they will steal to get money no matter what the price of the drugs - legal or not.

Wow, what incredible flamebait. If you made a post that was equally condemming of Linux, a horde of slashdotters would collectively rip you a new one, but instead, your unsubstianted opinion is welcomed and celebrated by the moderators. I haven't yet seen a post for this story that is about the article linked (i.e. science and islam). Nearly all the comments lend weight to the clash of ignorance theory, one I hold in very high regard.

Sadly, bribery is a common means of getting what you want from government officials in India. However, in this case it will allow people to easily circumvent this whole process.
