    So the only way this person's surgery is actually worth anything is if fingerprint scans care which hand the prints are one? I would think that if you switched your hands' fingerprints, you'd still have the same prints, which could be picked up easily enough as long as the scan tests the prints against your right and left hands both.

    Not to mention, as I'm sure someone has by now, they would probably notice the scars. I would think it would be more worth it to get someone else's fingerprints, if you could.

    I suspect that your post is sarcastic, and would like to say right off the bat that I'm not disagreeing with you. I think.

    The problem obviously would be how to use such a homemade cell phone, as the towers are owned (licensed? rented?) by the telephone providers, who undoubtedly have rules against accessing their network without authorization (i.e., $$). P2P phone network, anyone? :)

    I'd say that Wusers are more ignorant that confused. They aren't confused about browsers now: They have Internet Explorer. It accesses the Internet. Why would they want or need a different browser? Offering them a choice is bound to confuse them, even though it's a good idea technically.

    How is a copy on hard disk not permanent? Is "permanent" defined in this context as "you can unplug the component, wait 5 minutes, plug it back in, and the data's still there" like with RAM, or "this DVD-R is permanent because I cannot write to it again"? (I'm not being sarcastic; I actually want to know.)
