Vinyl just plain sounds better most of the time. Save your technical BS for those that have not listened to the same track on both using good equipment.
Nobody can argue whether vinyl sounds better, that's a purely subjective judgment. Objectively, CDs are more accurate. It is fortunate for the vinyl fans that the distortions introduced by the format are pleasing to the ear.
BTW, did you ABX when you tested vinyl vs CD? A test without a blind is useless.
`(vi) A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

You only perjure yourself if you misrepresent yourself as representing a rights holder. Any other specific claims in the notice do not matter. If you represent a rights holder you can accuse whoever you want without fear of being prosecuted for perjury.
That article is rather devoid of information as to the age of the victims. It says he posed as a teenager online, so I'd be willing to bet that his victims are teenagers too. It also says he "groomed" them, which is police speak for "wooing". I don't see any mention of violence.
Honestly, if they're trying to demonize this guy they're not doing a very good job. Chances are if this guy was 16, what he did would have been entirely legal. Seems to me his only crime was being too old.
It's because they're smart. Geeks are accustomed to using science to better their lives. Studies show that non-parents are happier than parents at all stages of life. It stands to reason then that geeks would tend make an educated decision to improve their future happiness by not having kids.
Women end up frustrated and disappointed because they choose to. When women are frustrated and disappointed, it's because they can't get a specific man. There are lots of other men, they are just being too picky. Generally men only end up frustrated and disappointed when they can't get any woman at all.
One thing I have to add is that one should never ask a question you don't understand. We know when you're bullshitting and we hate it. Geeks like explaining things. Being genuinely interested but ignorant makes for much better conversation than trying to fake it.
Here's another tip. Out geek the geek. If you're in the printing department, for instance, you may know all sorts of technical details about various processes that an IT geek wouldn't know. We eat that shit up.
This teacher's grades are mostly meaningless because probably 3/4 of his students get Bs. Jimmy got a B, Sally got a B, I could go on. While he occasionally goes down to Cs or up to As probably 95% of his students get better than Ds which makes his scale meaningless.
5/10 doesn't have to be average. Think of a review like a test. It's entirely possible for the average student to get 8/10 on a test. I'm ok with most games being Bs, because most games ARE Bs. They do pretty much everything right (better than 50% credit), but they don't do much of anything to stand out (don't deserve full credit).
Strategy games aren't underrepresented. There aren't as many of them on the market, sure, but they make up for that in depth. There are already too many strategy games on the market for any one player to master, just one good game can consume your gaming time for years.
For example, when buying media for rental purposes, they have to spend a LOT more for each copy -- they can't just go to Best Buy to buy their rental copies.
Sure they can. This is what RedBox does. Blockbuster just pays extra to get their rental copies before they're available in Best Buy.
I hope so. Gamestop, with their practices of reselling opened games as new, and destroying trade-ins to drive up prices can go rot in hell. There's a Gamerz here, one block away from a Gamestop. Gamerz is always packed, Gamestop is always empty. It'll be a great day when they close once and for all.
Apparently, if you kept the DVD, no late fees occurred, because they just charged your credit card for the purchase of the movie..
Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Lots of places you could easily rack up late fees that amount to more than the DVD is worth.
I only stopped going to blockbuster because I saw everything they had worth watching. I pretty much only watch documentaries and farces, so that didn't take too long.
Alright, I was being glib earlier but this I mean. Abolishing copyright would not damage the economy. It would expose damage that has already been done to the economy. Big difference. It would be best if we came to terms with the fact that copies of data have no value now, rather than keep up this fraud. It's not sustainable, it will end, and it will be worse for everyone the longer we put it off.
High quality keyboards and shoes are worth the investment because they're much nicer to use. If I'm on my feet 8 hours a day, and behind a keyboard another 8 hours, I damn well better be using good equipment. Shitty keyboards and shoes are a rip-off even if they're free.
It might be helpful though if blatant propaganda attempts could be mandated to be labeled as such. Let people read the information for themselves, but with the understanding that what they are reading may not be entirely true, may be quite biased/opinionated, and likely has a motive (of some external government) behind it to undermine one or more presently-held ideals, facts, etc.
It might be easier to label the information that is entirely true, is not biased/opinionated, and does not have a motive behind it. In fact, it's already been done. See any labels?

Soo, are we talking Barely Illegal, or 8 year olds dude?

Actually I would say it is pretty unique to CP, in that the state is actively pushing the insanity just as they did the red scare of the 50s.
Did you miss the War on Drug Users?

Perhaps these two facts are connected? Try not being so easily offended and maybe you'll have more fun and be more attractive to the opposite sex.

They don't *have* to work at it, they *choose* to work at it.
Did you realize you were being hit upon?

What an appropriate charge. Also, this guy can rot.

I'm still waiting for someone to propose a sensible alternative to abandoning copyright.
That's an intranet.

That still seems short-sighted to me.
It is. People are short sighted. Don't spend too much time trying to "fully get it". This is all there is to get.

Why should a company that sells games act professionally? The sillier the better I say.
SELinux doesn't just filter traffic like a firewall. It controls whether an application is allowed to open a port at all.
Is their number 666 by any chance?
