I'm waiting for that creepy dude who is always pushing the Vampire book that he is writing with all the creepy sodomy and other freakiness in it to weigh in (its like Nocturnal: Vampiron Galaxy or some nonsense). He never stops talking about it, and will almost twist any conversation to fit in his offer for you to come and download the first few chapters free (you can even create your own fan fiction stories based off his initial work, so get that perverted mind moving!). I can't even read a story about eBooks without thinking of this guy's nightmarish novel anymore, and since one of you/.ers was nice enough to post a bit from it on some previous story, I'm damaged forever now. I know other people remember this guy!
I am a 40 year old single dad. I had a co-worker post almost this exact same comment on twitter a few years back. The funny thing is he missed more work from getting shit faced at the bar than I ever missed from staying home with sick kids.
In my experience, single childless people miss more work than married or parents.
Yeah, they have better things to do. They aren't bogged down with snot-nosed kids and nagging wives. They don't live to work, they work to live. You leave your 9-5 job to come home to your 5-12 job of dealing with the problems of the people who you chose to complicate your life with.
But I agree completely that while I may think HTPCs are the way to go and British may think its the Pads we are both entitled to our opinion and the screams of 'You are not drinking teh koolaid you must be a (insert corporation) Ninja!" are getting seriously lame. hell I had one stalk me here for over a month just so he could accuse me of being of all people APK ( which is kinda funny since we fought for ages and I still think a recursive DNS is a better way to go over a HOSTS file) and constantly posted behind me 'Die you fat fucker die!".
Amen to that, if I had mod point in the last 500 weeks I would mod you up. He is about as relevant to PC gaming as Michael Jordan is to basketball these days.
So you're all 1337 because you ditched your boring old TV, but now you watch even more rubbish, but that's OK because its stolen and you do it on your computer?
Ive been hearing about this title for years, and I have never had the opportunity to play it. Now that I finally got around to trying MineCraft, I think its time to give this one a shot too. Catch myself up a bit.
Hell yeah, I loved that magazine. It was the unpolished, down and dirty, nuts and bolts kind of mag that I really enjoyed. There wasn't too much polish or pomp, it was honest reviews, interesting articles and good cheats. I still have all the issues from when I had a subscription, including the one that I actually got a cheat published in! It was cool to see my name in the magazine, but I never received my free game. Oh well.
Wow, dick, you could have just said "Different minimums for different businesses." You know, not everyone is completely familiar with their policies and not every needs to be talked down to for asking a simple question.
If you find it uncomfortable, try buying a set of J-Buds from Amazon. They come with three different sizes of "buds" that are nice soft rubber, so you can find a size to fit your ear canal perfectly. They completely changed my view of earbuds, I always found them uncomfortable before that as well.
On those nights when you happen to be on call, try sleeping on the couch in the living room or something. Really not that difficult, and if your "partner" or yourself can't get by alone for those nights, you have codependency issues.
Ive read that the USB only devices (used for programming and power) can be a problem with voltage, and using an AC adapter is highly recommended. Have you experienced this? Also, could you specify what type of AC adapter the Willem uses (voltage + amps) so that I can order all that I need at once? With so many recommendations for this unit, it seems like it would be the winner!
Wow man, you have told this story on Slashdot like 4 times in the last year. Its like scanning through the channels, and there is a certain show you never watch and rarely ever see, but its the same episode everytime.
God knows, we won't be getting anymore at anytime soon, if ever. Better keep better track of whatever we have left.

So, thats what happened to Slashdot! Thanks Taco...err...I mean, Anonymous Coward!

He means Spider Solitaire, thats how out of touch he is.
Hey, maybe they'll even get the RROD issue worked out for next time.
Unfair to say pre-x86. Ultima 7 was good, as were the Underworlds.

I like him already.

There, fixed that for you.

Perhaps you should spend more time in Akihabra, on your off days from trolling.

That'd be "ruff". Sorry, I'll go now.

Try Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Hell, Oblivion and Morrowind are excellent choices too, and there much cheaper at this point.

Living to 60 is something he didnt accomplish, even with all of his money and talent. Many of us have.
I believe your evidence is called anecdotal, not empirical.
LOL, exactly.
It might surprise you to know that Dick Clark was actually the test subject for this drug.
Hehe, it was a good one. Just thought I would give you a jab, thanks for the laugh! =)
