They could still make fakes.. just have to reverse engineer the "chips" -n- such somehow.. then they could create there own, give it a little history.. and then it would be accepted as a valid bill.. unless they have every bill checked for every transaction to a central database or something.. interesting though...
I hear you pain.. I might be lucky.. but I havnt had any troubles, Ive run the card in windows me and 2000, and two different versions of linux with no problems.. now.. my dxr2 card.. thats a different story(linux), which I have found is related to my video card..

The review doesn't mention how the Audigy works under any open source operating systems, though.
If you're interested in helping Creative develop open source drivers for the Audigy, go to their Open Source Page [creative.com]. Get the emu10k1 source [creative.com] and thumb through the mailing list archive [creative.com] to find out how to get the Audigy branch of the tree

actually when I was in school, we had just about filled up a 40gig drive.. we were looking at getting another drive, but it was too close to the end of the year so we just mirrored it..:)
I am sick of hearing about this. The systems administrators have had plenty of time to get the fix in. And it is within the full right of the bug "finder" to post and pretty much do whatever with what they found.. what if they didnt tell anyone and they decided to write CR#.. it would have been a much bigger mess..
Myself and our operations guy just got done doing a three week audit. our ceo was even hounding us for no reason.. I tried to tell them but no.. they wont listen to there sysadmin.. so now a few projects are way behind schedule. do they care that it was *them* who caused this? no of course not.
what the heck is getting into companies(schools) these days! it was probably some fluk that they even found it at all! and really is that much bandwidth really a problem.. this istaking it to the extreme.. you could look at a lot of this this way and it would blow them way out of perportion..
i for one do not want the space programs budget cut.. look around.. lots of the stuff that we use everyday came from the stuff nasa uses for space travel(term used loosly;0 )
It will probably be something like what happened to samba.. if they open it up or not somebody will eventualy figure it out and write a nice full featured version that works on many *nixs.
What I wouldnt mind would be to have *one* console that played all the old games.. atari.. nintendo.. celeco!(sp?), etc.. I would definatly get one of those...
maybe is the maxell floppies.. I have one from them that has last years too. Its been with me for about 4-5 years+
:)
too bad I don't use it anymore. bootable cdroms
mod this up!
sure verisign doesn't have a stake in Comodo? heh..

all I want to know is when linux drivers would be available for the audigy.. ;)
actually when I was in school, we had just about filled up a 40gig drive.. we were looking at getting another drive, but it was too close to the end of the year so we just mirrored it.. :)
Please explain more.. If you used to own it then why did you let it expire if you were using it?
seems to be just the main www.msn.com and not the subdomains i tried..

my $1.49...
to the phrase "Eat shit"...
:)
It has some value *if*needed* but who would really want to eat it. somebody should look at making something like what they eat on the matrix..

This is why not to put too much faith in one vendor

seems if you(MS) build it... they will hack it.. :)
