Seperating fact from fiction is important to being a mature adult, thank you for reminding us all, so when will AC above grow up and stop denying all possibility of future progress because we don't have people living there now?

On top of what AC says, I would also like to point out that civilian firearms of the era were far better than what the military handed out. Most of the cannon in the revolutionary war were privately owned as well.

I have no problem with reducing what civilians can own to what the military can own, after all it is fair to let them use the same rifled barrels that the civilians use.

To be fair, North America has many types of bears, some of them are quite docile and not something to concern yourself with. Brown bears are usually friendly, though you don't want to approach them. Black bears are often ok to be around, but can turn violent. Grizzly and Polar bears are terrifying killing machines though, I don't recommend being around them ever.

Australia deadly animals thing is because Australia has more deadly venomous creatures than the rest of the world combined. If we talk about non venomous creatures, I would probably point to Africa being the scariest continent for that. Lions, tigers, hyena, hippos, so many creatures there would eat you without a second thought.

You don't understand the NSA's charter do you?

The NSA is meant to do espionage and protect the country. Both jobs are delegated to the NSA.

The National Security Agency (NSA) is an intelligence organization of the United States government, responsible for global monitoring, collection, and processing of information and data for foreign intelligence and counterintelligence purposes, a discipline known as signals intelligence (SIGINT). NSA is concurrently charged with protection of U.S. government communications and information systems against penetration and network warfare.[8][9] Although many of NSA's programs rely on "passive" electronic collection, the agency is authorized to accomplish its mission through active clandestine means,[10] among which are physically bugging electronic systems[11] and allegedly engaging in sabotage through subversive software.[12][13] Moreover, NSA maintains physical presence in a large number of countries across the globe, where its Special Collection Service (SCS) inserts eavesdropping devices in difficult-to-reach places. SCS collection tactics allegedly encompass "close surveillance, burglary, wiretapping, breaking and entering".[14][15]
