Did I say at any point I prevent them from going anywhere else? They just prefer to play the disney and nickelodeon games with their favorite cartoon characters. At 10 years old, you are telling me you had more interests then Lego, Bugs Bunny, or whatever was available at the time?
It is called Flash games, they rather enjoy them. They also like playing on the Wii and playing Eve Online. They just haven't shown interest in the majority of the internet yet. I am not expecting that to last long, but by then I expect they will also be mature enough to handle what is out there.
Ok, after reading the story that AC kindly linked, that is hilarious.
Now, did you ever find out why it didn't float? I am guessing that the balloon itself compressed the gas enough to make it mass the same or more then normal air, but it is just a guess.
I would frankly argue that Toyota is high quality. The just seem to have way less problems then any other brand out there. Over 7 years owning Toyota cars, I have never had one break down. Just a thought.
The US national DNC registry also allows non profits to call you, in fact it appears they use that list as a call list. When you add your number, suddenly you get tons of calls from people asking for money for a non profit. Also kind of sleazy.
Who says the minerals have to be returned to Earth's surface? Asteroid mining opens up construction in orbit of much larger space stations and vessels, and would allow the work towards a possible generation colony ship to another solar system. Returning the materials to Earth's surface just seems to be a waste of energy as we already have most of what we need here. Building a viable space station or moon base is worth way more.
The whole reason that the US can seize these domain names is due to the fact that.net,.com,.edu,.gov,.org are all US TLDs, if you don't want to run the risk of losing your domain name by doing something illegal in the US, then don't use a US TLD. The US registrars have to follow US laws.
Not that I want to argue either side, but reading through that list, I get the impression you don't know what evidence is. Perhaps you should link to the peer reviewed papers. Only one link on that list appears to even be something that could be a reputable source, epa.gov, but unfortunately, we have politics that work in any.gov, so I am unsure if that is a reliable source, or a political source.
If HDBaseT involves manufacturers shifting to packet-based video, it's going to be a very interesting different world, because this will require devices on each end to use codecs and video to/from packets, raising costs for consumer electronics.
Just by the fact you were able to correctly deduce the meaning of what he meant to type, this should indicate to you that he got the meaning across even with the typo. Pointing out his error just makes you look like a douche bag, please stop.
When I read the summary, you were the first one I thought of. Recently chatting with a coworker, I brought up the bionic eye comment when he said he had cataracts. Made me laugh he had no idea what I was talking about.
My understanding of the proposal is that it is by a Senator. The problem is that it is being misrepresented entirely. The existing laws allow the president to shutdown all telecommunications networks in the case of emergency, this would include the internet. This would be done at the providers, they would shut down all domestic internet access to allow the military full use of the backbone lines. This has never happened, and it very unlikely to ever happen. This bill is reducing the powers of the president, mostly limiting the amount of time that it can happen for, and redefining the terms of the shutdowns allowed as the original bill was from 1918 I believe.
Exactly. If that 55" screen was truely a computer monitor, you wouldn't be able to see the text on it. 30" monitor = 2560X1600, what would a 55" computer monitor handle? Computer monitors are designed to be used from 3ft away, anything more and you can't read it, a 55" computer monitor would cause you to move your head too much. I already move my head quite a bit with a 20" and 30" at work, and dual 24" at home (1920x1200, get away from my computer monitors 1080!)
I have no desire to use a giant TV as a monitor, the resolution is worse then my 24" monitors and would look like crap with a computer interface.

I just put my 8 and 10 yr olds on disney.com or nickelodeon.com and they never bother to try to find the rest of the net.
Did that link utterly break, or were you meaning to link back to this article?

If that site in Finland uses a US TLD, the US absolutely has the ability to take the domain name away. It is property owned and held in the US.

You mean like HDMI which is packet based?
Wear this and you will be fine:

I never got the nerve to do it myself, so tell me how it goes.
A comment suggesting a possible competitor for the iPad on an article about the iPad. How is this offtopic?
Currently 30% Insightful 50% Offtopic and 20% Flaimbait. Did someone release the Apple drones again?

Is that what I've been doing wrong all these years? I better start working on that before the woman gets wise and runs off.

I think the point he is making is that the statement should be "You're stupid" or "You are stupid"

In the US, that is manslaughter, and possibly reckless endangerment, the first a misdemeanor.
The do this. I only use Windows for my updates as my computers are Windows machines, but ASUS definitely has these other options you mention.

My last three mobos had Windows flash utilities, flash the bios then reboot...
Move to Maryland, DC, VA?
Except that they refunded the money and you could then go out and buy it from the proper source?
