I never stated that any religion forces another to do anything. You may not have noticed, but all three religions you named have problems with gay marriage. In the Muslim religion you are stoned to death for "unnatural acts" with other men. In Judaism it is generally frowned upon. As well as the vast majority of organized Christian religions.
The main problem I have is that the state has been trying to force their own views onto religion. The Democrats have started threatening churches with the loss of their tax exempt status for speaking out against immoral laws because they are major democratic platform points.
I don't wish this to be a Christian state, I believe firmly in the state staying out of religion, but unfortunately the state can't seem to do that.
BTW, nowhere in my post did I state that I was christian, the old testament is shared by Judaism, Christianity and Muslims, not just the Christians.
Because marriage is a religious ceremony. If you were "married" before a judge, you had a civil union, stop trying to hijack a ceremony if you don't believe in the religion and there won't be problems with it.
I have no problem with civil unions between same sexes. It becomes a problem when they want to call it marriage. Marriage is a religious ceremony, not a state sanctioned union. Many of the Gay rights crowd don't seem to understand this.
You mean the greedy bastards with the acronym BGE?
You won't get lower bills, they will continue to charge whatever the government allows them to charge, and the profit goes into their pocket. I would rather see a distributed system where the reliability is gained from having it massively parallel, then in one spot. It is much harder for a cloud to cover an entire state then a single location in the state, as well as with a centralized plant, there is rarely going to be redundancy.
When your neighbor is subsidized for the solar roof, his electricity prices go down by just as much as the power he produces...think of it as rent on his roof.
When a power company (BGE...) gets a subsidy to build a new power plant, they get to charge for the power whatever the government allows them, which will be more then it costs to run the power station, so you are paying rent on the power station that the gov already paid for.
So, as you may have noticed, I also live in the BGE area, I know exactly what has been happening in recent years, and I have seen my electric bill double, even after replacing my water heater and AC unit with higher efficiency models. I am still left wondering why we don't have more nuclear, and why we are still running on a natural gas power plant.
When a subsidised power plant is built, who do you think makes the money from the power generation? In your example, it should be the government in proportion for the amount paid in. Do you really think this is how public funded power plants operate? I highly doubt it.
If the plant is a central plant, who gets paid for the electricity production? Often times a corporation. When you distribute the power plant among people, the people make the money from it, not the corporation. Would you rather the money go to a corporation or a lot of people? This is where the real difference lies. Personally, I would rather it went into the person's pockets, because then there is less waste then with a corporation.
I use Mac OSX on a Mac Pro with Vista in a Fusion window. I have seen Mac's version of UAC (that Microsoft copied BTW) the entire time I have used this machine and it is nearly the exact same thing. The only difference between the Mac one and the Vista one, is the Vista one doesn't ask for a password if you are logged in as administrator, this was an improvement to make it easier on those who prefer to run as administrator. Please AC, tell me how you think the Mac OSX version is any better.
It always bothers me when people cite UAC as a problem. Did you maybe miss the fact that both Linux and Mac have the same feature? From an administrator standpoint, UAC is great, and it solved many problems with having people run as standard users. Before, in order to install software or drivers, you had to log the user out, and run the install, then let them log in. Now I can just put in my user name and password and ok the install, this is so much easier.
Backward compatability can go to hell. If we keep the same compatibility layers around forever, you will never get away from the poor programming and security vulnerabilities without being able to remove bad code. Again, this was security.
I have seen no speed issues in the UI whatsoever, even on my dual core laptop with a 5400 RPM drive, so if you are seeing speed issues, it could be the crap the OEM put on there more then the OS.
You sir win my prize for the most off the wall response to any of my posts so far. I did not request this option on my car, nor would I have. This was a included feature when I bought my car. It appears that Toyota has moved to putting them in all their cars, as even the base model Tundra also comes equipped with this feature. You can make jokes about bluetooth being gay, but I will use whatever feature makes it easier to accomplish a given activity.
All of these people posting about the split concentration really are missing the point. I strongly believe there should be a test of this type to weed out those who just can't split their attention safely, there is no reason that those of us who can should be legislated out of it. I am no more distracted by a bluetooth link to my cell phone then I am by a bird flying by, or the radio playing, or another pasenger. Maybe this is the benefit of ADD, but I can split my attention quite well without degrading my driving ability. I live in a very heavily congested area, and I can say quite confidently that I have never had a problem talking on the phone. I can say however that I would never be able to drive my clutch while holding the phone...that would be impossible.
You should write to your congressman, if you are a American at least. You have a great plan, which would take care of most of the problems. Only problem I can see is that if the Gov owns the wireless network, then they are less likely to upgrade it in a timely manner. Maintenance would be done well, but the upgrades wouldn't be as important.

?
So you are saying that there was marriage >6000 years ago as a legal status?
Because marriage is a religious ceremony. If you were "married" before a judge, you had a civil union, stop trying to hijack a ceremony if you don't believe in the religion and there won't be problems with it.

Typically it is actually in the rear window. It is the top most lines that are not connected to the defroster.

You didn't read the spec sheet on the Tegra? It has a built in fusion reactor. You really should keep up with the times... ;)

That is so disturbingly accurate...you must be married.
Actually, floppy drives are measured in 1024 byte size. That 1.44 MB floppy is approximately 2 Million Bytes.

If only the post wasn't AC, it would be well worth modding up to +5 funny.

You must work for the RIAA...

You too can support a 1st world unemployed person, all it costs is 1$ a day to feed these poor non working people.
I have to ask, and maybe someone who modded this can answer as AC, how exactly was this funny? Insightful, Interesting, sure, but Funny?
Nice troll...

I can agree to that, but my car has bluetooth built in. :)
How would you handle the passenger texting then? The driver isn't the only one in the car.
